In your opinion, which model is more likely to succeed?

I'm getting ready to launch a training course, but now that it's come down to the wire I'm torn between three different models.

The first being: Magnet -> $25 eBook -> $49 Videos -> $20/mo Forums & Webinars

The second being: Magnet -> $19.99 eBook -> $29.99/mo Videos, Forums, & Webinars

The third being: eBook Magnet -> $1 trial for Videos, Forums, & Webinars then $29.99/mo

Which would you be more apt to purchase?

I'm leaning towards the $1 trial, since it keeps things simple.

The big name marketers don't do that, though.

Any advice? It's greatly appreciated!

Hopefully, you'll test all 3 (if you're smart).

But My gut reaction is the $1 video trial and $29 mo. back-end.

Reason: Low point (or risk) of entry for prospects who don't know you. Pus, you'll build your list faster.

But it would be interesting to hear what others think ... and why?

as an Affiliate Marketer myself, I am a big advocate of FREEMIUM model...hence i will advice you to choose the third model which even you are more inclined towards...

I strongly believe that people would really want to initially try free trial or $1 trial before actually purchasing the product on the whole...these trials give them a clear idea whether the product will be useful to them in long run or not...

You might even want to go with free for the first 2 weeks and $29.99 per month thereafter, but get them to sign up for a subscription at the point of signing up for the free 2 weeks. Its amazing how many people forget to cancel their subscription if an item is completely free. That way you are likely to get at least 1 month subscription from people who sign up.

I'm definitely curious about other people's opinion.

I personally feel the $1 trial is the best model.

It instantly creates a buyer's list, lets the customer see what they're paying for (to lower refunds -- who's going to ask for $1 refund?), and entices more affiliates to help promote it.

I'd love to be able to test all 3. At this point, though, I just want something live that people are jumping on board with.

To make that happen, I think I need to give away the farm in a text based lead magnet, and push the $1 trial from there.

That's the same sort of thought process I am feeling is the right approach.

I can grow it myself but having affiliates ready to help me makes it that much easier.

My goal is to get as many buyers as possible onto my list, minimize the refunds as much as possible (less work), keep the machine as simple as possible, and get success stories from the students who put in the time.

Up-front cash is enticing, with the first 2 models, but it's not something I have to have.

What other things help make you want to promote a product?

I'd thought about that before, and actually changed it to fewer days (considered a 3 day trial) so people would keep the subscription fresh in their minds.

If they didn't want it, I wanted them to cancel so I didn't have to put in work doing it for them, and refunding money back.

The email they receive on the last day of their trial lets them know it's time to shxt or get off the pot. Either commit or cancel, with instructions on how to do it.

The first two models require a salesy approach, more "just buy it, and hopefully put it to use -- I don't care what you do with it" and less "I don't want you here if you're not going to put in the work" like I think I can get away with using the third model.

I'm a lot more comfortable telling people they don't need to be a member if they're not going to do the work, than I am trying to pitch and hard sell every person that comes my way.

    hi
you must go for the First 1 model...
you somehow kept it in first priority ..
    the reason being...
    1. your 'magnet ' being a best copywritten copy no doubt will make your prospect signup.
if it was $1 and prospect does not like if he quits still you would have your 25...for first option
2.$49 videos : tasting your initial product sample they will definitely take the videos..
    3. as the monthly value seems lower than the first two , psychologically people will opt for it and you gain the maximum...
let me know when you had decided on what option to choose
    be the best..

Split testing is the correct answer.

Also, consider the possibility of eliminating your magnet all together, and go straight for the jugular.

    $7 => $97 => $197 (your front end funnel)

Your back end funnel and followups could contain your membership stuff.

I like the 1st model. It's the one I'm most familiar with - and is what I use. Also consider if you can't offer the monthly service on the 3rd sale.... see if you can enter into a consulting/coaching business with your customers.
