Learn How To Take Things Apart And It Will Be So Much Easier

I'm going to make this real short but I am sure I will get the point across.

Too many new people complicate the hell out of conquering niches.

So this is what I want you to do.

Pick any keyword(s) of a known niche that has a rabid purchasing population,
do a Google search and look at the site ranked number 1.

Go there and pull it apart...literally.

I want you to look at:

1. What kind of content is on the site
2. The navigation structure
3. The header, graphics, etc.
4. Check out the PR and how many backlinks the site has going to it
5. Check to see how often the site is updated

That's what you have to beat to outrank that site.

Yes, I know, there are some really crappy sites out there that rank
number 1, but not for the really big niches and keywords getting 360,000
searches a month.

Now, apply the same tactic to the smaller niches and you should have
no problem beating out the top ranked pages.

Stop making this harder than it is. Make a site that's better than what's
there, get more backlinks to it and that's your simple recipe for success.

Very, very true, Steve. If people spent as much time working as they did
worrying about their work, making money online would be a breeze.

    Steve:

I could not agree with you more. Sometimes I think we make this business more complicated than it is. Success does not have to be that hard. Look at what is successful, model it, and then improve upon it. And I think that is your exact point.

I was recently reading a story about an aspiring internet entrepreneur who was trying all sorts of income opportunities and push-button money making programs and he did not make a dime. And he did this for years. Then one day he decided to stop focusing on "making money" and start focusing on "serving" a group of people.

Two years later he was debt free and had $250K in the bank. And he attributes his success to a simple "shift" in his thinking. He stopped thinking about money and he started thinking about serving a group of people with a common interest that he was passionate about.

Sometimes a little shift in our thinking is all that it takes. The power of the mind is truly amazing.

    Precisely.

And conversely, if you want to dominate a niche, make it look like HARD WORK for others to catch up.

99% of people will think it IS, and won't bother.

not so easy when you get booted from #7 on page 1 to #63. Happened overnight. i am not a happy person. I can't get any answers from google, either.

That's just the nature of the beast. Some pages stay ranked at a certain position for years, while others get tossed around in the Google shuffle.

If it's just one keyword you've seen slip, just focus on the other ones.
