Need HELP setting up links in Prosper202!!!!

HI guys & gals,


This is a newbie question no doubt in my mind, but I have been trying to setup links in prosper and setep these tokens so I can track the referer. But every time I seem to do it, I cannot track anything. My traffic source tells me its my links, but I have tried several different ways to setup them up, and still no dice.

Here is a link for example when Im in step 3 trying to put in the subid, c1, c2

http:/affiliateurl/125439/14423?s1=[/url][[referer]]&s2=[[subid]]&s3=[[c1]]

My questions are, does this link look right as to what you would setup in prosper? When Im trying to track the referer is this all I do, just insert the placeholder.

To add the c1 variable was {transaction_id} token from traffichaus.

Any help on this would greatly a be appreciated. Cause Im going bald quickly and this aint helping.. lol

    I'm confused. The link above, i'm assuming this is the link to your affiliate network?
    what variables do you need to track?

      Sorry about the confusion, but what I have above is what would be my affiliate link when inserting it into prosper202 under the setup tab, then clicking #3 campaigns.(The affiliate links above is just an example as I didnt want to put my real affiliate link in here) Im trying to track where Im getting the conversions from, so Im guessing that I would use the [[referer]] placeholders and subid. But Im not sure how to set this up when making a new campaign under the setup tab, step 3.


      To add if it helps, Im getting the traffic from traffichaus.

    Hi, I played around with Prosper202 quite a few years ago but didn't go far with it because there is no real support these days...

    ... I highly recommend that you drop it for some other tracking solution.

    Does traffichaus suggest or require you use Prosper202?

    Right now I'm using Google Analytics combined with the Google URL builder. I recommend looking into it and seeing if it can do what you need. It is also a free solution.

    Hi johnlogoudakis,

    Thanks for your great suggestion, maybe in the future I'll try this, but Im not one to give up so easily. I have heard and read that prosper202 is very powerful, and I have learnt a lot with it. Im just stuck on this one area of how to build my links so I can track the conversions/referer. Anyone else out there have an idea?

    What affiliate network are you using? As what you need to enter depends on the affiliate network.

          This is what I had done first, and it wasnt tracking anything. I couldnt see the referer or where the conversion actually took place. In the C1 placeholders, should I be adding something else when I go to Step 7 under tracking id c1 input box, right at the bottom of the page?

            To see whether a conversion actually took place, you need to add a tracking pixel or post back URL in your affiliate network from Step 9 in Prosper202.

            In Step 8 Get Links, when you copied the URL to traffichaus, did you add a token at the end of it? If not, that might be why it isn't showing the referer.

            In Step 7, you don't need to add anything to the c1, c2, c3, c4 input boxes. They are only optional if you want to add custom variables for things such as age demographics for your campaign.

              Yep, I put in my postback url in step 9, but I think you found the problem. Yeah when I copied the link to Traffichaus I never inputed any of the tokens at the end of the link. I really dont know how. So thats probably my problem. So to input a token on the end of a copied url in traffichaus, I just hit for example.... {transaction_id} token and {cid} token buttons for example and thats it?

                I've never used Traffichaus, so im not sure what tokens should be added in Step 8.

                I recommend asking in the CPA forum here, as someone there will probably know.
