What are your interests and hobbies? Perhaps think about that and write about those. If you have a specific niche, think about different things for that product/service/item, etc.

Brainstorming might help too. Just start making a list of possible future topics off the top of your head and then go back and choose the good ones.

Sign up to forums of your particular niche, and whatever topic you find interesting , write about that particular topic. For example if you are in the Health Food niche, you sign up to many health food forums and newsletters. If someone post an interesting topic, that is something you can blog on for that day! Allow other people to give you interesting topics to discuss on your blog , by listening to the topics and other information that they are discussing or that is a hot topic. Best of luck

  • I usually go for a walk by the time I'm done there is inspiration. I also pile them into my evernote account I have it on my phone so whenever I get ideas I just record it in the ideas notebooks and there are tons there. Just keep adding you will never run out of ideas once you get it going.

First of all what's your blog about? But I assume that you want to write trending content, am I right? If yes, you can try to find some trending ideas on your niche on Buzzsumo, this site been saving me for a long time.

Also you must remember that you can not over stress yourself by trying to come up with ideas, just don't force yourself. Trust me I was in the same situation and I over stressed myself, after that I couldn't work like a normal person at least for a week... Take a walk relax, try to think what you like and most of all if it's gonna be interesting for others.

    Leverage Off Others:
    - You mention you don't want to copy other people but let me tell you the best ideas are not from reinventing the wheel.
    - The best ideas come from research and specifically from researching other blogs/websites in your niche.
    - So ensure you are doing your research to come up with fresh, new and exciting ideas!

    Take a Break:
    - Before doing any research I would advise you to take a break for at least a few days.
    - Sometimes you just become stuck in life and need time away from your project.
    - This time away may help you reflect on your project from a bigger picture point of view and give you perspective/insight.

    Do Something that Inspires you!
    - The beach, walks in nature or even fly a kite!
    - It's really important to find an activity that inspires you to come up with new fresh ideas for your blog.
    - Not all your ideas will be necessarily good but after additional research you're definitely sure to come up with some new winning ideas!

    Hope this helps.

I agree with Kieran that you need a source of inspiration but you need to do something with this inspiration (yes not make it a puff of smoke).

  • Problem with inspiration is, it is only air.

Suckin' stuff in does not mean that you gonna find some way to do anythin' with your input, so you are kinda doin' the breathin' equivalent of copyin' here by jus' seekin' to 'be inspired'.

It is true that sometimes what we take in is intrinsically interestin', an' summons spray of sparks from insidea us, but equally, we may chance on mere pastry.

So you gotta buck the system, define the nature of your inspiration, narrow it down a little.

Enthusiasms an' passions normally direct ya here cozza the seeds you already planted inside ya, but clearly this is not workin' right now.

So I figure you gotta slurp on some new stuff, way off beam, or fix up alla your regular with a new twist.

But it is hard sometimes to think in ways other than what leads to your habitual point of view.

Gotta figure a random word or line of a poem, inseminated robustly into your seemingly uninspired focus of input, gonna flip a twist on the material.

Read alla this through again thinkin' CAT or BACON or JUSTICE, an' you will see the words flip over, mebbe catch a spark, jus' as if you were strikin' flint to stone.

If you are really brave, mebbe costume yourself as a pirate.

Tellya, the influxbucks you can deploy are potentially infinite.

I figure it is an interactive kinda framin' of the raw materials gonna swirl the air round your lungs so it reaches hitherto unflapped alveolar pockets.

Dunno if this makes any sense, but I gotta thank you for helpin' me hit my daily Google Concussor early again for the second time this week.

Get the keywords for your field.

Set google alerts for those keywords.

GA will send you articles about them.

    - Comment on the articles.

    - Let several articles build up around one topic, then do a compare/contrast on them.

    - Take the topic mentioned in the article and write a stand-alone piece yourself about it.

I did this with Sales for the first year of my blog, and it worked just fine.

I'm never short of ideas but in the past when I did get a little stuck on a particular topic, I would go to Ezine articles and pick out a couple of established Authors in the applicable Niche and just read over their Articles.

I would take some of the knowledge from this and write some Content based on what I learned in my own words

What are you passionate about? There's no need to copy other blog posts. You simply need a spark that will trigger ideas and inspiration. Visit other blogs and see what they do. It will also help if you read more. It trains the brain and allows you to let your creative energy flow easier.

Keep yourself up to date in whatever niche you're in. You don't have to copy content. Instead, re-purpose it. You can get the idea and write your version of it.

Just grind through it and you will find the motivation you need. Avoid NOT taking action because the more you put yourself in that state, the harder it gets for you to get out of it.

If you are in a continuous flow, then you'll find that you reticular activation system (the front part of your brain) is in continuous work to search for new opportunities and solutions. If you are taking action however, this part of the brains will remain deactivated and therefore end up being uninspired/unmotivated.

Forgot to mention...have a journal! It helps. Write down any idea that you get. Use that as your guide to blogging.

Also, don't stress too much. That's the most unproductive thing you can do. Ideas usually come after you take a quick break. For me, if I hit a wall, I'd go relax a bit like watch a movie, go out with friends or even take a nap. Ideas usually just pop out of no where. Don't force things. Just let it flow. If there's nothing, then take a break. You'll get something.

1.all you need to do is goto sites like iwriter , fiverr etc and get some one to write for you
    2. Invite guest post for your site goto search engine and type 'guest post marketplace' and you
can find people to do guest post for your site.. your site traffic will increase eventually..
    3. this is a powerful method : you can find topics here in WF itself and in similar other forum of your niche and now you can pick one topic of interest and gather hints { as you did in your school } now all you do is just develop the hints in your own language and start posting it in your blog .. with this method you can have n number of unique articles for your blog without any end which search engines love thereby bringing in more visitors and more profits for you.. and be sure to add some graphics on the post to make it look good..
This way anyone can start blogging and be a success for Sure..

Here are some ways to consistently generate some great article topic ideas

      1. Sign up to forums related to your niche and contribute to them.

If you get into the habit of helping people in your niches forums not only will you drive some pretty targeted traffic to your site but you will also come across many interesting topics to write about in your blog

      2. The Google Alphabet Soup.

This is great if you want to quickly brainstorm some ideas right on the spot.

-Go to the Google search bar and type in the beginning of a sentence related to your niche,

Example: How to Train my dog not to...

-Then go through every letter of the alphabet and let Google instant show you the results that people are typing into the search bar.

      3. Use an app on your phone so you can jot down ideas as you get them through your day.

I use evernote and that works great for me.

Write Fewer But Longer And Better Articles

I also recommend that instead of writing many 500-1000 word articles that you write fewer but more thought out and well researched 2000-2500 word articles.

that way you can find a topic that really interest you and you can focus on developing the best article you can, for a good week or two.

-This will maximax the quality of your content

-You will need to come up with less article ideas.

-and you can spend your valuable time creating High Quality Content that your target audience will love!

      Hope that helped

Except the advices you've already received I would like to add: don't concentrate only on your hobbies and interests. It's boring to read blogger who always write about the same. Don't be scared of exploring some new topic for you, just find about what you are concerned.
To find the inspiration and define a topic - read other bloggers, communicate on forums etc., it will help you to find you own ideas and make the posts unique.

Maybe the reason you lose inspiration is because you are not sure what you are doing is going to work or not. If you think it's going to work, then work hard on it, otherwise you can stop doing this and work on something that you think will work, otherwise you will only waste time.

Bamio: let me come at this from another angle.

I reckon that it's near impossible to make a living from a niche blog unless:

    1. You really care about the subject (in which case inspiration is on tap) AND you're a solid writer AND you have the discipline to produce content on a regular basis; or
    2. You hire a professional writer to produce your content

If you've only published 'some' posts and have hit a wall, then you might want to rethink your internet marketing strategy. I don't say that with any derision; it's well-meant and comes from hard experience.

My thought exactly. This is often a symptom of picking a blog topic because of a keyword or trend or idea of profitability, rather than any real interest in the topic.

It used to be fairly easy to fake interest in a topic when 300-500 word posts were considered long. Now that authority/influence is the name of the game, those 2000-5000 word posts that gooroos claimed no one would read are where you will find your loyal audience.

Someone mentioned Quora. Excellent source of inspiration. If you are flat out stuck, collect 5-10 related questions and answer them. You can reference any particularly interesting answers (refer to, not copy) and discuss why you think the answer is good or bad or simply ignorant and give your own take. You may find that in answering some of the questions that you have enough for a post with just one or two questions.

If you still can't find inspiration, either hire the job out or find a topic that does inspire you.
