How do I get affiliates?

I have a software that I'm trying to sell and I have coded affiliate program that gives 50% revenue to affiliates, but I don't know how to find affiliates.

In my opinion the best way of obtaining affiliates is approaching them directly. This can be time consuming, but by adding a personal touch, and explaining why you think their offer is a good fit for your audience, you'll be able to get serious affiliates on board.

Just make sure you stand out, that you have an appropriate "affiliate page" you can send them to, and that you convey the value of your product to them. Consider shooting a short video that you can send to them...

With the right people on board you can make an absolute killing (providing your sales letter converts and the product is beneficial), so seek out who you'd like to work with.

Other than this, you can utilise platforms like JVzoo to attract affiliates but in all honesty I don't think you can beat the approach of taking your time to network effectively and build up a strong base of affiliates for your launch.

    Hope this helped.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

    Hi,

I would go directly approach them in my opinion... Find a big site in your niche and approach the owner... write an email to him asking if he would promote it.

        It's about value and incentive!

There isn't any set formula to recruiting affiliates. It's really about building the relationship and being an authority in your niche so people take notice when you launch a product. Here are some considerations that I can give as an affiliate marketer (one of many hats):
        - Post your offer on relevant JV page (MunchEye.com, Launch Boards, and JVNotify Pro)
Spend the money to upgrade your listing and get the banner if possible, it shows you're serious about the launch and able to invest the money into the proper launch.
        - Get featured on JV email lists and join private JV Facebook groups.(JvNotifyPro
        - Provide incentive for affiliates to do their best. Provide the creatives affiliates need (the basics is a must - the more creative you get the better. Create bonus sites or even pre built niche sites for the affiliate to use. Perhaps create some secondary resource that affiliates can give away to their list to warm up the list.
        - Create an affiliate recruitment ads. Many product creators are not using Facebook and Google ads to target and send the message to affiliates. You can get creative with your targeting
        - Use re-targeting ads to remind affiliates of your launch or get them on your JV list is even better.

Notes to remember - It's always a matter of supply and demand as with many things. Time is a limited resource and we don't want to use our list to promote other people products unless (1) the product is great (2) It's the best available option (3) I know you personally and want to support what you do.

How does your product compare to other products in your niche? Either you improve your product and affiliate support so people notice you or you make yours the most visible product to promote by ads and affiliate recruitment work. I recommend option #1.

Great advice Shaun, although one thing I'd caution against is contacting affilaites directly as it can be annoying if you're doing a copy paste message which will simply be regarded as spam. This will most certainly mean those affiliates won't promote your product unless you provide HUGE value.

Haha, people don't use the search functions enough or they like to have customized solution to their problems. We're in a society that likes everything tailored.

Take caution to this as mentioned.

It's ok Regional Warrior, people prefer to share their own two cents today even if it's an echo.
