Login/Membership plugin

I'm looking for a simple wordpress plugin to do something in terms of a membership or a login type thing.

Example: I'm creating a place on my site that can only be accessed via a login. I only want certain pages to be viewed under this "login umbrella", the rest of the site viewed by anyone.

I only want ONE ID/PASSWORD or all the "members". Yes, I understand the "oh, that's not secure...bla bla", but there's a reason I'm doing this way that, quite frankly, isn't relevant to this thread.

I"m sure I could just create a whole other website to do this, but I'm sure there's a plugin that can do it for my current site.

Does anyone know of a simple WP plugin that does this? I've been looking at so many different plugins for different things that my brain is worn out! LOL! I"m sure I ran across it, but I"m looking for someone who's used it for this purpose.

Any intell would be great!
Thanks in advance!
#login or membership #plugin

You can use S2Member and set it to allow unlimited IPs under the same login.

Also, if you want, you can simply password protect your pages/posts and give out the password. You don't need a plugin for this.

How in the world can you do it without a plugin? I"ll have to look at WP dashboard and see. If that's the case, that could be exactly what I'm looking for!

Go to one of your pages or posts and edit it. Look over on the right where it says Status and Visibility. Change the visibility to password.

OptimizePress 2.0 - it also comes with OptimizeMember which makes it easy to protect pages.

Holy Moly! I didn't know about that! This may do the trick! Thanks!
One question, do you know if someone logs into one page if they would have access to all the other pages as well without logging in? Or, would they have to log in to every page in the "members area"?

If all the pages use the same password, the password should only have to be entered once. If you use a different password, then they would be prompted for a password again. The last password used is the one it works with.

I've only used the password function for temporary purposes to be able to show clients pages or demonstrate things to customers. So, you'll have to test out how it works in your specific setup. Especially if you use any cache plugins, make sure you test it from different browsers.

And there is always the s2member plugin if you want more control and more options. But the least plugins the better, so if you just need a single password for everyone, I'd just do it straight from wordpress.

    Hello,

emember by tipsandtrickshq is a plugin, does anything you need, I use it on all my custom build sites,

Keep in mind, this is a light weight plugin, not a Theme, so super easy.

The WordPress options per page, can also do a few things for you, but to go custom, you might need something more.

I believe you should buy a quality product. I've tried "Ultimate Membership Pro WordPress Plugin" and it was amazing regarding the funcionality and options that's availible. The interface is also very user friendly.

    Good luck man!
