Hello guys,

I am very new to marketing and I would like to know how to choose the most effective marketing strategy for my need. For example, I would like to market the digitalisation of a new company or service and have many marketing options such as TV advertisements, public relations , social media ..etc. how do you choose the right one?

Thank you

    Hi and welcome to forum!

You are unlikely to get spoon fed that information unless you pay for a course with it all laid out for you. However, if you search around this forum you should find everything you're for. Just be specific about the topic you want to learn about and away you go!

    Best of luck

    Where is your target market?

What media do they consume? What platforms are they on?

If they don't watch TV, then you don't want to advertise on TV.

If they read avidly, you probably want to make a tripwire book.

If they gather on Facebook and participate in topic-focused groups, you might want to make a FB group.

Make a list of your marketing options.

Then run columns of market reach and cost down beside them.

You're going to see which have a better bang for your buck.

This is all about Customer Acquisition Cost.

Each medium is going to have its own CAC. Where can you get the most for your marketing dollar?

You may have to estimate at the beginning.

Later on you will collect real data.

Start with the best estimations you can. That's your baseline. Then work to improve them.

But the very first thing to do is confirm your target market can truly be reached by this marketing method.

    Meia,

    There is no "right one."

As Jason points out, you need to focus on your target market and determine what methods and strategies will be the most effective in selling them for the budget and methods that you can employ.

Chances are very good that you should use not one, but a whole range of strategies to sell your prospects. If you have a very small budget, you may start out using just one method, but that won't be optimal.

Your question tells us nothing about the resources and marketing budget that you have.

You need to have a targeted audience. Then you have to reach your message to the audience by various ways. Such as if you target Children only, You can target MOM page of Facebook. Or, Children lover animation in TV or, Youtube. Thanks

Thank you so much everyone for the insightful responses.
let me give you more information about my project. I have a budget of say $2000 and I have set of options for marketing my new services, each of which has a different cost. what sort of tools can I use to choose practical and cost effective methods that would give me the best results?

I need to present it to my manager in the form of short report, what do you suggest I include in this report?

What is your most wanted result from this campaign?

Direct sales? List building? Requests for quotes?

Those can all require different approaches.

That's always a good and cost effective idea but with new brands it might be difficult to win fans.

On the other hand, $2000 isn't much..

Everything you're asking comes down to targeting and positioning.

    Picture it like surfing:

You have to align your offer in front of waves of your ideal audience.

    It's not rocket science.

    However...

HOW you position your offer in front of those waves of traffic...

    IS rocket science;-)

    Who is your target market?

Where do they hang out? Facebook? Niche Forums? Twitter?

What kind of products do they consume? Information products? Software?

How much money per month can you spend on advertising?

Identify your target market/customer avatar then go from there.
