Got A Google News Site But No traffic

Hi all, I have a Techie Google news site, I have had it for 6 months but never worked on it. Due mainly because I had a football site that is taking my time.

I started posting articles on it but not getting much traffic.

First article was on the Huawei Mate 8 launch and second article on Star Wars Episode VIII release date change.

What do you guys think I may be doing wrong?

I only have 5 visits so far.

I needed to hire someone to post 10-15 articles per day but how do I ensure I get the maximum traffic for the site.

Note - with Football, it is totally different and I know my way through but the techie niche seems to be different.

I would start by doing some serious research, or find a partner who is good at marketing. Try going to Youtube and type in how to get maximum traffic for your blog or site. I would do the same in google and spend about a week watching videos and reading in the google engine on how to get traffic until I get some general ideas of how it all works. Do not overlook getting traffic from social media. Best of luck.

That why I just want to focus on Just One site.

In fact I have a lot of ideas and resources plan to open another site.

but as I done alone , next want to control my budget ...I don't want outsource.

I also been asking around here I think many months back.

Some WR claim is better just focus on One site first than if successful move on another new site

some claim is ok to have multi sites as it does help to boast your adsense earnings.

I open a site mainly focus on Adsense. , Amazon affiliate and click bank in fact is additional
No doubt some will claim Amazon affiliate and click bank can earn more than adsense...

but problem is " if you think as a buyer point of view , they don't immediate click your link and buy "

I do have some just click and buy ( but that is 1 out of 100 viewers or even more purely luck I feel )

For Adsense is simply , just push traffic to your site ....that it.....

if they click the ad that is the bonus as Click earn more in Adsense. The main objective for Adsense is Click.

Next , your site have opt in page?

Yes , many WF here will claim get the list , than slowly follow days or months you can email them your site + your affiliate links.

for me I never have opt in page...

for me my main objective is Adsense.

1 article a day is more than enough to gain traction...however make sure to cover all recent news topics from news.google.com...try to be the first to have your own opinion on a certain topic...with 7 articles a week of possibly 1000 words each, your site be able to see traffic within days...however do not forget to drop a link of your article all over social media, once you complete it...

Well, in my opinion there are 2 ways to go:
      1. Place paid ads or
      2. Do something like forum posting or blog hopping
      A. It's FREE
      B. Relatively quick results
Article writing works, but takes pretty much time for any results. However, if you got a killer title and post it in the right place it can work pretty fast .....

1-3 Articles a day would be enough in my opinion. The best way to gain traffic would be via social media. Also, realize that traffic is not going to come overnight. It will grow overtime. Best of luck.

I post my articles on my twitter with the link and get zero traffic or retweets. I notice the only ones getting retweets are people posting click baiting headlines

Did you do any research to see if people are interested in your site or searching for it? There are a million places to get the news. Most people go to one of the news agency sites.

Well you have to update your website regularly with quality content. With updating the content you cannot rank your Google news site.

You're better off publishing on FACEBOOK

    No joke.

While the traffic won't be as spectacular as fake news (which FB is cracking down on), the traffic would still be better than the hit or miss situation you have with Google News.
