Any service for implementing rel=canonical for a shopping cart site?

Morning everybody:

I'm in charge of the SEO for an online company with a lot of products. There is undoubtedly a lot of duplicate content in some of these products.

1) Should I use rel=canonical on duplicated pages?

2) Is there any service or person out there that we can pay to put the proper rel=canonical on the pages... there are so many...

thanks!

David

Our agency wallaroomedia.com can do things of the sort. We don't do much in the way of one-off tasks, but if there is a greater project that you would like ot look at with that as a part, we could take a look.

Assuming you are using some sort of CRM with dynamically generated pages, you should be able to make a simple tweak to the template to add the tag.

If you have a Google Webmaster Tools account, you could also set the tag there.

Thanks, John. Where in webmaster tools does it allow that?

        It's Prestashop, Sandakelum.

        Jdrose, PM me please. Thanks

It's under the URL Parameters tool for your domain.
