Default Anyone else go through this constant (+ bothersome) "mind-flip?"

Going back + forth in one's mind...

* Do tasks towards projects that will bring in a little money SOON (low-level "little fish," less risk, less return, more secure).

* Do things that will bring in (potentially) a lot of money LATER (high-level "big fish," more risk, more return, less secure).

It's maddening!

You too?

Keith Kogane posted about this exact same thing: "Plan B" can still make you money when "Plan A" fails

Outsource the little earners to keep profits flowing... Concentrate on big growth.

That's an advanced step that only happens *after* the annoying mindflipping has already taken its toll, and been "solved" (outsourcing requires writing a check of some kind). What I'm wondering about is, how to deal with the mindflipping in the 1st place.

Spin plates You have to pay the bills in the early days but once you have some income streams then you can look at the bigger projects. Also the bigger projects are lower risk when you have tried (and failed) with a bunch of smaller ones

When first getting started online I realized that my mindset had to land on this you mention in quotes below simply because I was flat broke at the time.

"Do tasks towards projects that will bring in a little money SOON (low-level "little fish," less risk, less return, more secure)".

Now that I'm NOT flat broke my mindset has shifted to the bigger picture you mention below in quotes and in fact I've just finally completed one of the biggest projects I've done that will take even more time to pan out financially...

"Do things that will bring in (potentially) a lot of money LATER (high-level "big fish," more risk, more return, less secure)".

Cheers,
Dean

It won't be maddening if you sit down and plan/schedule your time to include both. Prioritize to keep cash flowing, but don't overlook the benefits of working on long-term projects.
