Maximizing YouTube CPM? How can I do it?

As title states, I am looking to be able to increase my CPM or have it up above at least $5 per 1000 monetized views on youtube.

I know the biggest factors are niche on youtube in terms of cpm so I was wondering how could I figure out exactly what to target?

Or is there any other specifics that are important that I should know of.

Does Web, TV episode, Movie option when selecting video type make any difference?

    Publish real estate/mortages/lawyers related videos and you will have 50$ RPM and 17 views/month.

    And yes, upload TV episodes. That will make you sooo much moniiees.

    I have a video in the trading and finance niche that earns me $13cpm, which is the highest I've seen and I presume is only because advertisers are willing to pay more in this niche than in others.

    So create videos in niches with high demand/competition, or if you already have the video, perhaps just use certain high value kw's in the description so YT displays the higher paying ads.

      Well heres the deal. I can get same amount of viewers no matter which video or niche its in, which is why I am trying to figure out exactly how to always have maximum CPM.

      I have been getting like $2-3 past month, and I want to figure out how to keep at, at least $10.

      You said finance and trading but that might not be popular one week from now? Is it highly related to keywords etc.
