What do you use PLR articles for?

I am curious to know what folks use PLR articles for. I see them for sale sometimes and I know that I have downloaded quite a bit of it. But if you are not going to rewrite it, what good is it? Or do you actually put it on a web site without rewriting it?

I use PLR articles for video. No worries about duplicate content, though you may need to change it a little to make the audio sound right.

Emails, ecourses, video articles, re-writes and the research that went into writing the articles in the first place...that is if you trust your PLR source.

Using them for videos is a great idea, hadn't thought of that. Frankly thought they were just about useless. Will have to go through and rethink them...

I like to put them together into a PDF and then give it away as an incentive to join my list.

Rewrite for article submissions. Besides video, you can transcribe articles into audio products or giveaways.

You could grab 20 articles on the same subject and create an instant ebook (and you wouldn't need to rewrite it much at all because you're not putting the content on a website).

PLR means you can do anything to it. You can take sections out of it and use, as articles, or free samples, or as a free chapter of an ebook you wish to sell. You can put your name to it, you can re-arrange. etc.

Or, you could use it whole as it is, and provide it as a free report

Quality PLR content can make your life easier without costing much money. Duplicate content is a concern if you are submitting the articles, so you will need to add your own touches (usually by writing an introduction and conclusion, as well as personalizing the article with your own style).

As already mentioned, the research is done for you regardless of how you use the article(s). Find 7 - 10 related articles and create an ecourse or basic autoresponder series. Then just add your promotions, etc. and you're good to go.

Bundle a few, several, or more into categories and create reports and ebooks. Use them to create audio or video content. Build blogs/websites using the articles.

With a little creativity and imagination you will find dozens of uses for quality PLR. I stress the word 'quality' because IMO, some of the 'junk' PLR content can take as long and as much effort to rework and rewrite it as it would have taken to start from scratch. That to me, defeats the purpose of using PLR content, which is to save time, effort, and money.

If you have an auto-responder service and you are stuck for a series of messages to send, then PLR is a good place to start as you can break them down into the emails that you are going to send out.

You might need to edit them a little bit first though.

    Hope this helps

You can use plr for all kinds of things just make sure that it is well written first before you put your own name to it. Secondly change it a bit so that it is unique to you. Say if you used it for email messages as part of your autoresponder imagine how embarassing it would be if someone else in the same niche used the same product. You could end up with a message from someone saying thanks for the email but why did you copy it from x im going to report you.

i use plr articles for things such as:

*email messages for autoresponders (not in IM niche though) as i like this niche to be very personal
    *to include in my memberszones
    *articles to directories
    *blog posts
    *content pages with adsense on
    *ehow page
    *and so on

As long as it is re-written to a certain extent and the qauality of the information is good you can do a lot with it.

    kind regards

Somebody mentioned using them for videos, what do you put on the screen while you are speaking out the article? Audio would be fine, just wondering what u do with video.

You can use them for your own niche products, article submissions, information, etc. Plenty of uses for them.

I use them mostly to create my own niche information products.

You can also use a PLR piece - once you've checked it's good quality, and you can always add and subtract until it is - as an exchange for e-mail details on a squeeze page. Provided the e-book or mini-series is 'on topic' you can use keywords around it's title to create an Adwords campaign to build your subscriber list up. Split test and track your ads of course!

    Good luck to you!

I used to use them to fill up my hard disk and for some unknown reason they used to hide themselves in folders that I didn't even know existed.

They also had a tendancy to duplicate - sometimes I found up to four instances of them.

Nowadays they are rewitten for emails, blog posts and adsense sites.

"Quality" PLR provides me with information mostly that I then use to write my own content and products. I've never used PLR right out of the box because I always want to add my own two cents, which often involves doing additional research and adding more content into the end product. When I'm done, nothing (or very little) is original.

PLR is best used as-is in any circumstance where it is not exposed to the SE crawlers/robots. You can turn it into ecourses, giveaways, add it to membership sites as tutorials or just to offer information on your theme. If you receive all the related files in the PLR, you can modify it to look unique, especially book titles and graphics.

Unless you are in a highly popular niche (because subscribers might join 2 lists offering the same material), you can use them in auto responders (ezines, courses, information, etc.) for your subscribers. Articles can be bundled into ebooks; ebooks can be pulled apart and used as articles.

PLR provides great material for videos, as someone already stated, because half the work is already done for you.

Half of the article towards article marketing and the rest towards a good mini email course or tip. It works great and you can also give the readers more original content rather than same thing rewritten again and again.
