Marketing new site and driving sales!!!

With a high demand these days for logo anf graphic designers I have been showcasing my work and created a website selling my Logo design services. The problem is getting my site in front of the right people looking for logo designs.

Anyone any good ideas in where to advertise my site in order to get leads and sales.

Thanks in advance

For low end work you could try fiverr. To make a more margin try seo clerks or source marketplace.

That is, if you don't want to invest the time or money in marketing your website directly using using methods like ppc, seo, social media etc

Have you tried Craig list? It is really effective and it's FREE!

    Looks like you just did.

Assuming that this post survives the non-promotional rule (you did read the rules sticky at the top of the forum, didn't you?), you could try social groups and forums devoted to things like web design, beginning a blog, business startups, etc.

Edit: There was a live link with with very promotional anchor text in the original version of the post in question. It has since been removed, to the OP's credit.

Sorry, but I cannot see where the OP is "breaking" the rules, I believe his question is perfectly legitimate, well asked and at the right place in a Marketing Discussion Forum.

On the other hand, should I assume you have never read the sig file rule yourself, did you? I suggest you do, maximum allowed number of lines in sig file is FIVE lines, and NOT six.

      Best regards,

He probably removed it but it sounded like he originally had a link within his post

He did have links. And he did correct it.

I had written a response earlier but deleted it. We have bigger problems than sig lengths of well-established members who consistently provide value. But that's where some people's attention is...while garbage posts get posted and remain in the main forum.

          Anyway, OP:

What do people buy just before they realize they need your help?

Find that out and partner up with those people to send you referrals.

            This ...

For example, many people who want a website or a mobile app or a software or a sales page or an ebook or any product that needs graphics often realize that they need graphics design work after contacting tech developers and writers; and

Many tech developers and writers do not have graphics design expertise, and they most of the time don't have graphics designer partners / employees / contractors, especially freelancers ...

So, if you contact good tech developers and writers who are top rated in heavily trafficked job sites like Upwork and Web forums like this one, especially those who have websites that get lots of targeted traffic through RTB, PPC, media buys, social media, relevant top ranking pages for heavily searched exact match terms in Google and so on, then:

You can strike a deal with them where they get a nice commission each time they refer their customers to you for graphics design work; and / or

They can re-sell your graphics design services at marked-up prices as part of their packages or as value-added benefits ...

This is what we do in a different industry / niche, and it's been working very well for us ...

He did have a link that has since been removed. Some see that as legit and some see it as self promotion/spam. Whoever removed it must be on the self promotion/spam side. We don't need to see his particular site in order to give general suggestions.

That rule used to be 6 lines for WR members. Maybe that has changed now but no one has ever pointed out that it has changed. The post that used to say that has been deleted. Admin needs to be clearer about all the rules.

Someone already pointed that out here above, nevertheless it should be clear that my post was based on the OP I saw as is at this moment. If it has changed since then, I believe the "complainer" should then change his post, because now it sounds like "what", and why I gave this reply.

          Since you are discussing this issue;
You may look at my profile on the left and see I too am an old WF pal here however I do not recall the 6 lines rules for WR members which I'm part also since the beginning. It might have been permitted for only a very short period of time to avoid confusion, I believe? Anyway, the rules looks very much clear to me now:
          SIGNATURE FILE RULES

          (1) Maximum length of sig file is 5 lines which includes any blank lines used for spaces.

          Best regards,
          Andre

Agreed. Didn't think of it that way when I posted.

Since the old sticky was deleted it seems clear to new folks that didn't know it any other way.

To older guys I can see where there would be confusion: The original rule was X (5 lines only), that rule was changed to Y (6 lines for certain people), then apparently changed back to Z (back to 5) without any notice.

When I responded, there was a live link with extended anchor text in the post. Which definitely appears promotional. It has since been removed. As it appears now, you're right, there's no problem.

As for my sig, before an overzealous and undertrained mod removed it, it was five lines on my computer screen. Had no trouble until your "warning". Smaller screens may have wrapped it to six lines. Sorry you found it so offensive.

Sorry, again, when I posted I did not see the self-promotion link, so I thought that you were maybe a bit, as you say, "overzealous" with the guy. So then I saw your sig and thought that maybe you should be reminded of the rules too

Your sig was really 6 lines on my LARGE screen.

            We're good.

Thanks for the screen shot, too. Seems an extra line feed sneaked in there somehow.

Usually the sig editor routine won't accept a sig over 5 lines.

Well first promote your website and services in your signature - not in the post itself. Second, driving traffic to your site is no different from driving traffic as if you were selling an ebook. Pay for the traffic. Go to Adwords and Bing Ads and start there. Participate on Youtube and forums like this - but only forums in YOUR niche.

Yes, also try social networks for designers (behance, logofaves, logopond, etc) and start building your brand.
