I purchased a new domain today, and think Domains Priced Right has changed hands, or at least they have changed their required agreement. Here are a couple things I am not comfortable with. 1. "You agree Domains Priced Right may immediately terminate any account which it believes, in its sole discretion, is transmitting or is otherwise connected with any spam" Sole discretion that you are a spammer. I have old sites that spammers have used some email addresses for some time. There is nothing I can do about it. If an overzealous person gets ahold of my registrar, and someone decides to act on that without full investigation, my whole account could be deleted. I avoid another hosting company because this is their rule as well. 2. "if for any reason Domains Priced Right is unable to charge Your credit card with the full amount of the Services provided...You agree that among the remedies Domains Priced Right may pursue in order to effect payment, shall include but will not be limited to, immediate cancellation without notice to You of any domain names or Services registered or renewed on Your behalf" What happened to sending an email, or speaking with you. They could just dump or take over all your domains!? I find that quite alarming. Comments? Who else do you use that works with marketers instead of doing above before working it out? "You agree Domains Priced Right may immediately terminate any account which it believes, in its sole discretion, is transmitting or is otherwise connected with any spam or other unsolicited bulk email. In addition, if actual damages cannot be reasonably calculated then You agree to pay Domains Priced Right liquidated damages of $1 for each piece of spam or unsolicited bulk email transmitted from or otherwise connected with Your account, If for any reason Domains Priced Right is unable to charge Your Payment Method for the full amount owed Domains Priced Right for the Services provided, or if Domains Priced Right is charged a penalty for any fee it previously charged to Your Payment Method, You agree that Domains Priced Right may pursue all available remedies in order to obtain payment. If You pay by credit card and if for any reason Domains Priced Right is unable to charge Your credit card with the full amount of the Services provided, or if Domains Priced Right is charged back for any fee it previously charged to the credit card You provided, You agree that Domains Priced Right may pursue all available remedies in order to obtain payment. You agree that among the remedies Domains Priced Right may pursue in order to effect payment, shall include but will not be limited to, immediate cancellation without notice to You of any domain names or Services registered or renewed on Your behalf". |

Hi, Domains priced right is owned by godaddy. I got what I thought was some very good customer service from Domains Priced Right and asked the Customer Service Rep. If I could send an email to his boss. He said sure and gave me an email to send it to. The next day I got a reply from one of the supervisors from godaddy thanking me for taking the time to thank them. George Wright |

When I asked a while back, I was told they were not affiliated with GoDaddy. Guess the person just did not know. I really am not comfortable with the terms, as I stated above. There are a number of people who have had bad experiences with GoDaddy. |

Jeannie, No matter what service or business you use, you will find someone that has had a bad experience. I have seen them too... But I have been using godaddy for quite a few years now and have not had 1 problem with them. I have also tried out Domains Priced Right. And after using them...i realised that they are just a godaddy reseller. So, I am sticking with godaddy...they have served me well. But if you are still a little scared to use them...you can always use namecheap. Hope that helps? Take Care, Michael Silvester |

Once upon a time GoDaddy did not allow some services that could be (and often were) used by black hat marketers. Since that time, they have changed their position and are as good (actually statistically better) than just about any other hosting service. A GoDaddy reseller can sell services less than you would receive from GoDaddy itself, hence the reason to use a reseller. The service is the same, the US based support the same, only the reseller has lowered the cost to you. (Some resellers sell higher than GoDaddy and do quite well. Perceived value. Dan Kennedy fans, I would guess.)

And about the question, if you are not using GoDaddy servers to spam people and you keep up with your credit card bill there shouldn't be any problem. Even Google will shut down your adwords account if the card is rejected three days in a row. |
