How to get free clothes to review on blog?

I have started a fashion/clothing blog for women, where I also have a beauty section and miscellaneous section. However, I'm having trouble finding a program that will send you free clothes without checking to see how many followers you have (I *just* started so I don't have many)...there are plenty of fashion blogger programs out there, but they mostly seem to require 5,000+ followers.

I have found out how to get other products for free without having a high readership, though. I have a free full sized beauty cream that is set to arrive tomorrow through a cosmetics company's blogger program; they didn't even ask how many followers I had, I just applied with truthful stats (very small) and they accepted. I'm looking for the same thing for clothes. I have enough sponsored beauty products sourced.

I'm really going to review these products, btw, as per our agreement.

If companies are giving away free American-made beauty products, which cost about the same to make as cheap-fabric clothing made in China (or less), then somebody must have a free clothing for review program. It just doesn't make sense that I can get $200 creams for review, but can't get $20 shirts for review.

So thanks to anyone who will share blogger clothing review sites that don't require a lot of subscribers.

Where is your blog? And this seems like a good offer to get a free gift by reviewing your website.

Look for some new companies that have just started out and try to find an email or a telephone number of that company to contact them directly. But, before reaching out to them, make a note of what you could propose to them. This is the best way you can start and once you get one company under your belt, for the next company you can start of by saying "I've working with Company X" for so and so brand and what that does is it creates trust and then it becomes easier to bring in more companies. Hope this helped atleast a little bit - Goodluck!!

Buy the items from a shop with a good returns policy. Wear them once for review and take them back to get a full refund.

Just curious - do you realize what you say about yourself when you post something like this?

As for freebies - chances are the "expensive cream" costs a few cents per jar to produce and the markup on it is huge while clothing has lower profit margin. In a competitive "beauty cream" market - it's worth a jar for a free ad.

Contact as many people in the clothing business as possible.

Let them know you're a huge fan of their work.

Tell them that you review clothing, which could bring them some exposure.

    If they're interested, they'll bite.

If not, oh well, what have you lost.

I actually just started an online fashion boutique and was looking to give away some clothes for some reviews. Like anything else, it all comes down to how many visits and authority and followers you have. You said you are starting out and don't have many followers. Why should i send you free clothes so you can promote them to a small audience instead of sending them to a blog that actually get a lot of visitors and can expose my products to a much bigger audience? The cost is the same for me.
You need patience and you need to build your audience first...

Build up your following by doing guest posts.
Become an 'established brand' in your niche first.
This isn't hard to do with Twitter
Just follow niche influence leaders, engage them, then pitch them on guest posts.
Once you get interviews, you'll start growing your readership base and this can help you in your search for programs that give out free clothing for reviews.
Remember: you have to start somewhere
I suggest using PInterest and Instagram in conjunction with your blog.

For designers starting a brand it is very difficult for them to give free clothes that can be kept by the bloggers, but they may be able to lend you the pieces to wear and review.

well, its the same way how travel bloggers get free trips or free hotel nights:

they have a huge audience, or at least 80k-120k visitors per month. How did they get so far?
Work together with the other bloggers, guest posts on a weekly schedule, reaching out with
smart proposals etc. The busier you get the luckier you get.

    Free clothes here we come.
