Autoblogging in 2016. Thoughts?

I know autoblogging is kind of taboo here in WF, but I think some will still agree that it creates albeit minimal value to Internet users. Hope this thread can be good resource for enthusiasts.

A bit of background: I've dabbled in autoblogging since 2013, but didn't intensely go after creating a network of autoblogs until 2014, where I made it the center of my thesis for my MBA. I called it an experiment in low cost information brokerage in today's growing digital market, and generated $6K while I was at it (traffic source? believe it or not, from SEARCH only! not a PBN.). Obviously I passed, since it seemed like a strategy that can be reproduced.

After graduating, I left the autoblogs and focused on my professional career in IT, got a few promotions there, and then got back to autoblogs where I did stupid things and got my network deindexed in 2015 (experimented with subdomains and mass installed plugins). But yes, the autoblogs lasted a FULL YEAR.

So, I know that autoblogs still work on the big G. I'm not keen on spilling my strategy here, but I just want to let those still interested in "low cost information brokerage" (LOL) aka autoblogs know that the things works and generates revenue as long as you have a sound strategy (i.e., make sure you deliver some sort of value to readers).

I haven't seen fresh topics here on autoblogging since 2014 ish and would like to hear some successes, maybe even useful tips, even sustainable strategies (that won't reveal too much!) in developing autoblogs in 2016. As for me, I quit my job, and I'm on track to setup 50 autoblogs by mid Feb. Nobody knows what I do, since autoblogging definitely raises eyebrows, I just tell people I earn from sales commissions online.
