You Have No One to Give You a Raise

This has been on my mind a lot lately... especially since so many people are having financial stress in their lives.

    Ha ha...love that paragraph.

    I totally agree...But....

I know you probably already are...but you need to be working
in a proactive way rather than reactive. Having the funds there
to cover that stuff already...instead of looking at bills and then
trying to make the money to pay them.

    Hope that makes sense?

Other than that...I totally aggree with you

Micheal, I agree. We don't go in debt for anything so it wasn't a bill. It was something we wanted to save up for.

Excellent post! Being in charge of my own income is a huge motivator for me. The gratification that financial independence brings helps me to be creative, and wake up early and stay up late when need be.

Another benefit is that you can never get fired either.

I have worked for myself in one field or another since I was a teenager many years ago. One bit of advice that I received early on has kept me at it:

You can't "make" money working for someone else. You can only "earn" it.

To "make" money, you have to work for yourself.
It is as true today as it was 30 years ago.

I totally agree Amy. We can't get raises, we can't get fired, and we have more control over our income by how hard we work.

I also have to say that, as a woman, I feel confident in my ability to survive when times get rough. I know how to take care of myself and my family regardless of the situation and I think Internet Marketing has cut my teeth on many things.
