Default Amazon Affiliate Program

Would appreciate some advice.

I've currently a blog running which is been picked up in the UK and the US (I live in the UK). Anyway I would like to put some Amazon products up there on the blog. The difficulty I'm finding is that you can't simply become an Amazon Affiliate - you are either an Amazon affiliate in America, UK, Germany, Japan and so on - so what happens if say one of my American readers decide to buy an item do I just loose that sale if I've placed my UK affiliate link on that item? Is there anyway around this problem - a wordpress plugin for example?

I must admit this is one of the things that has turned me off Amazon in the past but they are big and I'd like to get a few crumbs from the table. Any suggestions

You can become an affiliate from Amazon US as well. You could make two buttons, one for Amazone.uk and one for Amazon.com. Wherever your visitors are located they can use the right button.
