Keep things short and sweet on your website. Spread out the format of the content as to make it easy to skim through. Be sure there's links to other similar content under whatever content a visitor might be reading. Check your site analytics so you know what's working and what's not. In this way you can focus more on that. Don't put too much stuff on your site where people can click away (unless it's strategically placed Adsense).

What part of the sales process are you losing them in?

What data are you going off it -- are you tracking the entire process?

Are you using Analytics to track?

Are they bouncing back to the SERPs as soon as they land on your page?

Or are you using paid traffic and can't get them to convert in a subscriber?

Do they abandon the shopping cart?

Do they abandon on a blog post, or are they making their way to the checkout and bailing, or are they not clicking through emails.

What are you working with? Where are you seeing them leave, and from what traffic source are they finding you.

What that tells me is that 99% of the people who click through to your site are not finding what they want. They land and immediately hit the back button.

The way to reduce the bounce rate is to put content on the page that people want to see. Follow that up with links to more content.

What type of content are the visitors you do get seeing?

Pretend you are a customer and see the site for yourself......what do you think needs tweaking I followed all the rules in the book, everything from writing content that is like i am talking to someone real time one on one sorta conversational writing. The only reason I could think of why people would bounce is becuz it may look "fake" and "not professional" is my theory

As Synnuh said, the content doesn't seem too bad. There is a bit of a disconnect when you describe yourself as an aspiring entrepreneur, and then tell people you have been testing various programs for years and only found one you can recommend.

Now that you've revealed that you are only getting one visit per month, there isn't even any way to test different things reliably.

Paul Hancox used to have a free ebook on how to test with very little traffic. You might want to google it and see what you can find. I recall that it focused on converting visitors to subscribers, rather than sales (or people signing up to WA in your case).

Back to the content, I read a couple of your posts. They seem unfinished. The tone is okay, but, for example, the one about Reddit seems like it cuts off somewhere in the middle with no way to continue. There is also no call to action. Give people something to do, even if it's clicking to another post with related content.

The URL you gave me landed me on your blog, with a list of titles and snippets covering a wide variety of topics. You may want to experiment with a static home page with an attention grabbing headline (What Did You Want to Achieve When You Clicked My Link? for example) followed by a series of choices, each linking to a related post. As soon as they click that first choice, they are no longer a bounce.

You say you are ranking for various keywords. Look at the other results on the page your site appears on. Are they doing something different to get people to click through and engage? Remember, simply ranking for a search is not a guarantee of traffic. You still have to beat out the other organic listings, the paid listings and the other options (like next page of results, related searches, etc.)

You have a reasonable start. Now you need to get real eyeballs on the content so you can see what works and what doesn't. You may have to invest some money to get enough visitors to get a real picture.

What keyword are you ranking for, and what is the page they're finding?

The content doesn't seem bad, it just may not be what the searcher is looking for.

How many visits a month is the site receiving right now?

I reduced my bounce rate by around 50% just by giving the visitors something to click. Not necessarily a good thing. Depends a lot on what your goals are with your homepage.

Look at it from the perspective of a traditional blog on basketball. Obviously the visitors to the site are interested in the sport. If you have a decent blog, the chances are they'll read awhile and click around.

Or look at it from the perspective of selling a customer something. They might search for the product they want, or click on a button when you offer them options for further investigation.

As always, the best course of action is to look at the sites you wish to emulate, observe what they do, and try your best to mimic them.

every individual blog post as its unique keyword based on the topic......so i dont have a specific keyword for my whole site again its individual to its own posted blog.

lol less than 1 unique visits a month "WOW! I am soooooo popular on the search engine" (sarcasm)

thanks for saying the posts dont look so bad; similarly others have done the same thing with their niche but they are getting genuine replies and comments i am also ranking like them but i am not getting real people or any genuine comments....wonder what i am doing wrong

    Video works for me.

Another thing that works wonders for me is to break down your content pages into QUALIFIER pages.

Pump traffic from page to page using 'emotional triggers'

This qualifies your traffic and increases the likelihood of a sale at the end of the funnel.

Keep in mind the best filter is a mailing list AR sequence

Less than 1 visit a month isn't enough to go on. You need 1,000 visits a month minimum to judge bounce rate and conversions.

Without having a large amount of data to look at, the only advice I can give you is to get more traffic.

You need running totals to be able to spot whatever impacts the changes you made will have.

I like the 500 visit a day mark, so I know before I go to bed that night what effect the changes I made in the morning had.

Without 1,000 visitors a month, you're flying blind.

I'd be more than happy to help you out, but the only thing you need is more traffic -- PPC. That's not a service I offer yet.

Once you get it flowing, you'll figure out what your actual bounce and conversion rates are.

Also, working in a different market, with less competition, it will be a lot easier to get SEO traffic.

One way to keep your bounce rate down is to add an incentive for your reader to keep reading. For instance: ...in just a moment you are going to discover not 1, or 2, but 6 different ways you can lose 10lb of body fat in the next 90 days, but first let's find out what the Fat Buster widget product is all about.
I have seen a few add video's to your post. This is a really excellent way to keep your bounce rate down. One thing that you may want to play with is where you place your video. You might want to add it at the top. At the top I might add an introduction that is 1 to 2 minutes long using the bold method above.

Then maybe another video which goes more in depth on something you may have touched on in the middle.

You could also use images in key area's that reinforce your message.

I hope this helps just keep playing with various elements and test to see what is working for you.

P.S. it may also be helpfull o keep a blog journal of changes you made each week of the month.

Thats interesting. Because, I have never got this kind of bounce rate. 99% bounce rate & 2-3 seconds avg duration of the bounced traffic may cause the following 2 issues:

    1. You're getting bot traffic from Search Engine (that happens lots of the time)
    2. Your traffic are getting landed to a page that is showing 404 Error.

So, firstly you have to find out your traffic exit link. I mean get out the page where most people are getting out. And see why the page kicking out your traffic. Tnx!

      Hi TAHERSYED34,

You don't have a bounce rate problem...

You have a traffic source problem, mainly that you don't have any.

Small amounts of data are mostly just random results and cannot be relied upon for making decisions. You should focus on generating traffic, until that happens you have nothing to measure and analytics cannot help you make any decisions.

Try online advertising, guest blogging, social media marketing, content marketing.

      Connect the Dots

Try writing articles in series, start connecting the dots in your content. For example, I noticed that you wrote an article about "Page Load Speed" and in it you mentioned using a CDN, which is generally good advice, but why stop there?

Why not write an article about CDNs, comparing options, rating the various services and making a specific recommendation and link to it? Then write and link to a "How to" article that provides step-by-step instructions for setting up and using CDN services on your website. And so on.

Continue on and on with articles written in series that keep users on your website reading article after article, then bookmarking your website for future reference, and linking to it in their own blog. That is how you build and audience and keep them coming back.

This is exactly why many of the review type sites use lists of solutions where they may promote the 10 (any number) things you must read before buying X.

Or the 17 unique ways to achieve a professional tan using common household items...for example.

They always put the first couple on the landing page and ask you to click through to read the next group

It is the same with building silo-ed content.

It is the same in any TV serial or Soap...

Always leave people with a cliffhanger.

It can be as simple as finishing a page mid way through a sentence much like you might write a letter and put PTO on the bottom.

In this case it is carry on reading here...Next page.

Bounce rate is also not so critical as perhaps time on site and scroll depth.

It is a case of combining all the elements to get engagement, scrolling, clicking, watching video, interacting that will all work together to make for a better UXP.

As others have mentioned you don't have any significant data to go on so you need to send some paid traffic and then monitor results.

I'm sure Don can point you in the right direction when it comes to getting paid visitors to drop by (buy)

        Best regards,

        Ozi

Good question! There is no exact formula to this but here is something I use:

FIND OUT WHAT PEOPLE WANT, THEN SHOW THEM HOW TO GET IT.

PROBLEMS ARE MARKETS (The bigger, more extensive and painful the problem, the bigger the opportunity. That’s where the best markets are!)

Remember we always have to gear our efforts to what our prospects want to buy, not what we like ourselves or what we’d like to sell.

Find the people with the greatest need for your product and reach out to them. Don’t waste your time trying to offer something to people you must educate before they even realize they have a problem. Instead you want to sell to those who are not only aware of their problem, but are screaming in pain over it and desperate for a solution!

    PROBLEM + PROMISE + PROOF + PROPOSITION = PERSUASION

Everyone is bombarded with thousands of marketing messages on a daily basis so you need to break through the clutter. If you have gone to all the effort to get someone to your site then like you say, how do you keep them engaged.

You have obviously identified their problem, once they reach the website, give them a reason to stay. Make a promise of how you can help them, offer proof of how this works (probably the most important part) then give them a proposition they cannot refuse (sell your product or service) and there you have your persuasion.

You have 7 seconds to grab a persons attention (on average).

The most important thing that people MUST know when they go on your site is what am I going to get here and what is this place.

If they just go to your site and see a bunch of text, graphics and ads they will have no idea what's going on and hence you'll get a high bounce rate.

Best way to combat this - big, visible headline which says what your site is about and you can help your visitor.

Using a good exit popup also helps I can definitely recommend EngagiFire.

    Cheers
