Anyone Have any Experience with Licensing Getty Images

I am creating the kind of website (a travel website) that will need anywhere from 6 to 15 high quality images so I need to license some Getty images.

I see that they have some reasonably priced monthly subscription plans (which I think you can cancel after a month or use for just a month), but I have no idea as to whether those subscription plans include all of the high quality images that Getty has or just certain images and whether there are any restrictions that would preclude use on a website for commercial purposes (the main image I need for the website header).

I also see that if you order a website creation gig on Fiverr that there is an option with many gigs to pay $10 for one high quality Getty image as Fiverr has teamed up with Getty. But unless I am missing something one image at $10 does not seem to be such a great deal.

So can anyone give me some tips on doing business with Getty images?

I have to say I would not go through Fiverr to buy images - ever.

I would advise you to go to the source. That's how you avoid any problems in the future.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

I decided I will be purchasing the $49 a month package from Getty, but I need to wait until my site is up and about ready for content and photos, because with this package you have to use the photo in your end product within 30 days of the expiration of your license so if I don't renew the monthly subscription or cancel it I could lose my license to use it if I don't use it within that time period.

Interestingly, if you purchase a photo that is outside the collection applicable to the $49 a month license there is no time limit on when you can use it.

But the price seems better than some other sites I looked at, including 500px.com which charges either $35 or $50 per photo for non-creative commons photos.

Finally, I asked about what happens if there is a mistaken claim of copyright infringement and they indicated your download history and download records from Getty is your proof that you have a license to use the photos.
