Blog commenting is something I have never really done before for any of my sites, but I want to start doing it for a new niche site I have. I came across Fast Blog Finder Free Blog Commenting Software (not an affiliate link) which is a great free tool for finding niche blogs. When I search for related keywords, nearly every blog comes back as nofollow Is this a sign of the times? Is it still worth leaving some comments(as unspammy as possible of course) on a few blogs here and there?

I think it's worth it if: - If that blog is nofollow - the blog is indexed by Google - You make a worthwhile comment that won't get deleted |

Hi Crubalo I don't know whether "nofollow" has NO effect. I've read somewhere that Google just values nofollow links less, but doesn't discount them altogether. Plus, don't forget that other search engines such as Bing and Yahoo! might not view nofollow links in quite the same way as Google. Also, don't forget the relationship building and traffic building value of comments. By commenting on a blog, you're getting the blog owners attention. Plus, other visitors might notice your comment and click your "name" link. |
