Hi everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to read through my post, and I hope some of you can help me

So basically, after being stuck in a dead-end job for a few years, I really want to expand my horizons and build a better life for me and my child.

I know that there is a LOT of potential to make a decent income online (but I am not naive to the fact that it's not a quick solution, or 'easy' per se).

I am more than willing to put in the hard work required, but was wondering what you experienced Warriors would reccommend in terms of getting started/potential ventures to follow.

I pride myself on being a good writer, so I'm thinking that this could be one of the most suitable routes to get into online marketing, but again, this is my first time looking at making money online, so my knowledge is extremely limited.

I know that there is money to be made writing paid blog posts or guest posts, but I'm also toying with the idea of starting my OWN blog, although I'm aware this is a long-term plan, and by no means assures a quick income! I also have a 2:1 degree in Psychology that I gained a lot of skills and knowledge from, so I would definitely be open to academic writing/posts too.

I can probably afford to take 6 months out of my job with money saved, and would be willing to work full-time online and be fully committed until I'm earning a decent income, so I just thought I would reach out and see what you all think

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read my post!

Emily

Well at least you are not looking at MMO through rose colored glasses... Before the snake oil salesmen and other BS'ers get to you, understand that it's going to be difficult to make enough to support a family...

These MMO/IM forums are full of liars and con artists, so go into this with your eyes open... Fact is very few actually make any decent income online, don't get me wrong there is money to be made but it's not easy and may take months or years to succeed...

If i were you i would keep the job and start with IM in your spare time until you have money coming in... That money you have saved won't last long...

    Good luck to you....

PS. Also try and use the search function, i can almost guarantee that any newbie questions you may have have been thoroughly discussed before...

You need to find the right niche first....

It's one thing to be passionate about a topic but passion ALONE isn't going to pay the bills.

Use Google Keyword planner to find keywords related to the list of topics you're passionate about

Next, do a CPC analysis of the keywords and filter out topics that DON'T PAY ENOUGH

Next, filter your remaining topics based on demand as measured by monthly search volume.

Finally, filter based on competition level-just enter your kws into Google and delete the ones that have too many competing pages.

Once you have a TIGHT NICHE FOCUS, the next step is building your blog

The easier approach? Reverse engineer existing blogs' look and topic focus. Hire a VA and get a list of blogs in your target niche and take it from there.

You can always choose to do things the UNNECESSARILY HARD way or the easier way.

There's no ELEVATOR to success ... but at least you can take the path that is LESS ROCKY

    I wish you the best!

    Ditto with SaleGurus said above.

Keep your job -- create a blog about a topic you enjoy and slowly make money while working on it. Be sure to think of it as a part time business instead of a hobby and you will be good.

    Good luck.

You already started by becoming a member of a warrior forum. This will take time to find your niche, what you can do the best and you enjoy doing this. Just keep looking trough forum, reading other people stories, as I remember that's how I started

The most profitable way to make money online...
    BUILD A LIST.

If you have a list you can promote QUALITY offers to warm, targeted customers.

You can build a list by creating a digital product (ebook, video course, etc.) And selling it on your website, while collecting their email addresses. But you have to make sure that your product has a LOT of VALUE. Always over-deliver to your customers. Offer bonuses and extras with your product.

You would need an email autoresponder to correct and send emails to your list. Personally, I use GetResponse, but there's many other options to pick from.

I hope i gave you some ideas and good luck with making money online.

It's so easy to create a blog (just like creating email/facebook id ) , But it's so harder to get traffic and income from your blog.

There are two places where you can make free blog wordpress and blogger, As you are new in this field i will suggest you to use blogspot, blogspot is easy for those who are new in this field. Whenever you complete to learn all of your basics of blog than move your blog to wordpress.

Wordpress is SEO friendly, you will get lots of feature in wordpress that are not available in blogspot.

I have also created my first blog fillkartfree.in using blogger for sharing information of online deals and coupons.

First create a free blog from blogger, than purchase your domain name, setup your domain to blogger, learn all about blogging/adsense/SEO etc, Move your blog to wordpress

Yep, a big , huge plus being a decent writer. And starting Blog is a good route . It takes time though.

Put your Content on your Blog then start syndicating it around the Internet in strategic places.

Get yourself out there, get your message out there, get your brand out there.

    Find A Niche

You can't get anywhere without picking a niche.

It's important to remember that even though the niches on our website are exposed publicly, they all have potential for growth and plenty of room for more people to get involved.

Competition is healthy, you need those people so you can connect with them and "steal" their readers. If there is no competition, it usually means that there is no demand.

Everything on the internet has been done over and over again, you are not trying to "Re-invent the wheel", you are only trying to stand out from the noise by being unique.

Let me just tell you where NOT to start...

Don't start buying product after product. That's the worst thing you can do and it's pretty much the curse of make-money-online newbies... I know, I've been there!

The thing that you need most is LASER BEAM FOCUS.

Find one method and stick to it, focus on it like crazy.

Many people go into making money online with a really really really bad mindset. In my opinion that's why so many fail. So get your goals list & set up affirmations. That's the bare-bone minimum you can do.

Shameless plug - list building a great way to start, it's how I started making the 'big bucks'. You can read more about my story on my blog - don't think I can link it here tho.

All the best and keep pushing... don't give up!
