Fiverr Account and Gig Advice For Everyone
I got an email this morning from a kind person who was struggling asking if I could give them advice on how to profit on fiverr. And what I did to have success on fiverr.
I wrote the email and decided this might be a great thing to share with you all as well. I'm all about helping people.
So here you go :
First what I did was create a product on warrior forum around my skill -- writing children's books -- it was a book teaching people how to write. Some people were lazy and of course wanted me to write the book for them. I also offered coaching but few people actually did the work.
I built a nice list of close to 500 buyers of the book. After I stopped being a JV for other warriors on here ( long story ) I started to promote my services to my list instead. It worked but not so often.
I built the fiverr account just because I wanted something faster. I waited a few days to finally tell my list I was on fiverr. When I did I told them I was doing a BOGO on fiverr. Everyone jumped at the chance. I went from 10 orders total to over 100 in only 5 days.
Because of those 100 orders people on fiverr in general started buying my gig. Reviews started to pile up.
Some advice
Two things I always did was avoid negative reviews. If someone wanted to even put 3 stars I'd contact fiverr to cancel the order for me. I also avoided late deliveries. If I was going to be late or if I was late I'd mark the order delivered early. If I was late I'd cancel the order and give the story for free to my buyer.
Custom service is super important! There are many fiverr seller who have NO manners. If you say a simple " Thank you for contacting me" It means a lot to a buyer.
Make sure your terms are clear in your gig itself. And you use those quick message options to have your terms outlined to save time and remove stress.
People said the more gigs the better -- I disagree because I'd rather focus on just a single craft vs a number of them. Promoting one gig is hard enough.
Make sure you have an actual website with a domain that connects to your fiverr account name. This makes you a professional not a hobbiest. Plus if your fiverr account gets deleted you still have your website to promote your services.
The only thing I wish I had done was keep building my list while working on fiverr. If I had released a book each month it would have built my business into something consistent. I recommend doing that like crazy.
As a fiverr seller and service provider you want to find a book topic or product idea that you can both sell to those who are " tire kickers" and to those who just want it done.
Teaching people your craft may be a good start. Like those udemy courses that teach how to's... those people get more orders of their services because they made themselves an expert. You need to make yourself an expert in the field by showcasing you have knowledge.
I really hope this helps you all.
