I am making money from childrens education books

Im pretty new to this forum. So please delete if this is not in right section.

I am currently making a fair bit of money from book royalties using createspace and kindle.

Interestingly they are childrens education books, and another set of books I also do are short reads for adults.

Im wondering how to grow the brand and get people buying stickers of zazzle and other merch and how to market better. Where should I invest the money marketing wise? I think I just got lucky by being on the first page in the childrens history category on amazon.

I currently h ire writers on upwork and have illustrators helping me.

    Wow great work!

The ideal model of any business is to grow your customer base. Making sales is great but you need to be getting peoples emails so you can email them more book launches, products, websites and other things you'd like to start in your niche.

I would start with making a landing page with an opt in for a free ebook or something of value and putting this within your books your selling. This way people will buy and download your free ebooks and give you their email addresses.

Over time, you'll launch more books and send them to this list of emails who have already expressed interest in your niche. You can email them items on zazzle or even your own shopify store.

Happy to help on skype, just shoot me a message or something.

    Wish you the best!

I've only just started with the mailing list stuff with a QR code CTA at the back, don't want to change my print book which has 1 st position on many categories as it might lose that position. Can you send me a private message?

Above all create a landing page and build an e-mail list.
Over time you will have grown a very targeted customer data which will help you generate more income!
Have you thought about adding Coloring books?

You should create a website/blog/squeeze page where people can sign up to your list. Then you can remarket to them over and over.

Offer a free mini-ebook as incentive to sign up, or a free sticker or whatever.

Once they have signed up you can sell them t-shirts, stickers, whatever you want.

Promote the sign-up page and bonus in your Kindle books. Make sure the promotion blurb and link are in your intro pages that show with the free preview at Amazon. That way people can see and visit your link without buying your book.

Everyone's suggestions are great to make your book selling even bigger! But if you're looking for a more immediate source of traffic, I would do exactly that and start driving traffic to your offer page….

Simply go to the Google Keyword planner (free) and find some keywords for your niche of children's educational books. Then start small with like $5/day and start driving traffic to your offer with PPC from Bingads and Facebook (would probably stay away from the 3-headed dragon called Google). Ideally you would be sending them to a squeeze page to collect their email addresses, but until you get one just start sending targeted traffic to your offer.

And on a side note, if you wanted to be a little proactive, you could always search for groups on Facebook for children's educational books, join them, then promote through that avenue as well

I hope that helps and good luck!

      Ill try those tips thanks.

Any advice with facebook ads? Ive tried them before with limited results

Would a squeeze page work for children's book given the audience? Unfortunately I dont have any demographic insight as createspace dont tell you the info about your customers.

Secondly its not just one book but a series, I have about 14+ books going

I run a New Media content distribution company as well as Data Science/Software Development company.

We are marketing many different types audiovisual content, including kids education programs. We animated and narrated some illustrated children's books with voice-over and distributing them as television & new media content worldwide.

Last year we entered into an agreement to provide videos to the largest online video site in China. This site has an audience that views more than 1.28 billion hours of video content per month. So far we launched 200 animated kids educational videos on this platform. We have a very enthusiastic and active audience on this site now. Needless to say, our videos get a lot of views.

We also entered into a JV with a major animation producer in the UK to develop one of their kids education animation series into an interactive web/mobile application. The app will be released in May this year. It looks good.

We are actively looking for more opportunities to work with illustrated books publishers. If you're interested in this type of collaboration please pm me.

Best way to make money is to solve problems.

    Here is a problem.

I have a daughter, she is four, there are no good reading, writing and math apps for four year olds

Try creating your own site. Maybe you can start your own brand and grow from there.

There are tons of education sites targeted to children

You can hire a $25 VA to help you with outreach so you can get your brand out there
