How would you structure this deal?

INTERNET MARKETING

I've nearly finished creating an online course. I have about a hundred or so customers who have expressed an interest to buy. I want to interview some experts to flesh out the content. Their input is not vital to the course but it would improve the quality and I could probably charge more.

How would you negotiate/structure the deal? Percentage share? (I have three experts contributing about 30 mins each. The entire course is 12+ hours). Flat fee? Or just promoting their website etc? What would you expect if you were the experts?

One time fee and that's it. You do not want to get stuck on having to give away money on an ongoing basis.

Flat fee if you can afford it.

If not I would do a percentage of sales up to a certain dollar amount. They might not do this however because if your product flops, they get nothing. But good for you because you are not out any additional money.

If you're sure you'd be able to charge more with their input, and that the product will sell, then I'd try to give them a flat fee. It's more profitable this way in the long run.

On the other hand, if you don't know how well it would sell, then I'd offer them a cut of the price so you're not risking more money.

This is how I look at this type of situations, in general. Now, in your case, since you claim you have people interested in your course already, which is a sign it could sell, then I'd try to give them a one-time fee.

Regarding them not accepting a percentage of the sale only, fearing that they'll get nothing if your product flops, well, since it's just 30 minutes of talking and perhaps an hour of preparation, they're not risking that much, are they?
