Default Blogging - are we allow to copy and paste?

Hi guys,

As i am starting to write a new blog. For the time being i don't have any content to write off so i was wondering whether can i copy and paste from certain post but mention that author name. Is it possible to do this?

My main idea is to look for specify keyword content, copy and post and give some thought about it instead of writing a topic / title for new posts.

Does doing this make my blog illegal? i notice it's not right to copy and paste from a certain source and name it as yours [unless you are talking about spinning the post]

Any blogger can advise on this? Would really appreciate it.

You can find articles at Ezinearticles, from there you can publish other writer's articles and post them on your blog BUT you can't remove any link from the blog or author name, or anything on the article in that matter.

Hi CDawson,

Thanks for your help on this. So you mean as long as we credit them [by putting their name / links] will be enough to post their articles / posts in our blog?

That's great! Will be looking for great content and post it on my blog. Thanks

So if you post an Ezine article on your blog, you have to post that author's affiliate link too?

Yes you have to include the affiliate link, but you can nofollow it.

It's a horrible practice frankly.

It's a totally underhanded practice when you are using material (for free) someone else took the time to research and write and you are too stingy to give them a link for using it. Says a lot about the person doing it - and nothing good.

You could always take the articles that they have written, use them for a guid or an idea and then rewrite them into your own unique content.

You then would not have to give credit for the article or include their affiliate link.

After looking through the blogging do's and don'ts.

I intend to do trackback with my comment on my blog will be better as i think it's better to credit people's articles instead of getting the article and 'spin' it for the sake of writing the content.

Plus trackbacks is something that will help us to get ourself out and more people will take notice of your blog instead of commenting it on the author post.

Hey markquinn, thanks for your link on the trackbacks. It's does look good to me. Cheers!

How would I be able to monetize my own blog if I use an article from EZA for blog post on my blog (with author resource box intact)? If someone clicks link in the resource box link, I would imagine that the author of the article would get credit for sale? So how can I monetize blog if I use EZA on my site? I don't have time to write articles right now (or hire anyone due to lack of funds) because of long hours at my day job, but need to start making some money to supplement my income, so can anyone please advise.

Many thanks,

Cindy

That's what I was concerned about......but at the same time, it's pretty rotten to not include their link and just exploit their work for nothing.

I have an idea I'm going to try out to save on some writing. First I'll write a couple articles on my own for my landing page, then create a linkwheel, but post other people's articles on the pages pointing back to mine. I figure since I'm just using the pages to build links to my landing page, it doesn't really matter if I post other peoples affiliate links on those since those aren't the actual pages I'm trying to rank for......make sense?

This happens more often than people care to admit. Rewriting and changing things around is still plagiarism. Put yourself on the other side of that coin. How would you feel if it was done to you? I really, really dislike anyone skunking my work, and I don't do it to anyone else.

Spark, if you're not yet up to writing your own posts, you could purchase plr content and rewrite that, or just use the bits you want. That way nobody gets mad (and you're legal)

Hey Terese,

Thanks for your suggestion on this. For the time being, i will concentrate on posting comments on my blog that it's interesting [Using trackbacks ] since their post is interesting we should give credit to them.

Many affiliate programs provide content you can use
on your blog. That will solve your problem

There are giveaways where you can get articles for
free. Use those articles if they are within your niche

They aint best solutions but getting something done
is far better than wasting your time figuring out what
to do first.

Just keep jotting down ideas and thoughts for a couple days. You would be surprised at what you can write when you put your mind and heart into it.

Thanks for posting this very helpful article. I do have a question about using trackbacks. I've noticed that some sites do not have a trackback url listed on their page. They have a link that says "trackback," but when you click on it the same page I was on just reloads. So in that case do I just use that url as the trackback url?

If you use an articles from ezinearticles, you can be assured that the link

If you want to make money online, you have to think for yourself....the easy way out will not get the job done......you'd be trying to stand on the work of others....and there are copyright laws.
Did you know that the first person to post an article on a blog or website, with the date posted, owns the rights?......It's not right to steal information....that's my thoughts.....Thanks
