RULE #1: Learn copywriting. Pickup a few good books on copywriting and learn. You can search for Gary Halbert's newsletter archives and learn from his previous works.

Then learn how to promote your offer by joining some groups on FB and giving people a good work for pennies in return for a good review. Once the sales start building up, increase your price and grow from there.

Yes copywriting very important. It's what will close sales for you. Start reading books or even blog posts. Reading helps sharpen the mind. I would highly recommend it. That's how I got good at copywriting.

As for marketing, I would recommend you try out FB PPC. You can do $5-$10day and you have the opportunity to get laser-targeted customers. Just do some research around the forum, check out YouTube and if you have a little extra, get a course that will teach you everything you need to know.

You can also start a youtube channel sharing videos of how to do things. I can see that you have a solid knowledge on what you do. Research and study keyword research then create videos around the keywords that will give you free SEO traffic. I'm sure there are people who search for what you do.

Over all, your success or failure depends on how much you'll learn and implement. Hope that helps.

If you're an web developer expert, why are you wasting your time on Fiverr, working for peanuts? You could be making a lot more money if you were offering your services on websites where people typically pay more for web development/building websites/etc.

    2) Write 5 blogsposts, show that you are an expert
    3) And the link to your blog here, on WF
    4) Promote your fiverr gigs on your blog
It's only the beginning of your journey...

I'm new on fiverr too. i'm selling graphic design and other services. In the beginning it gets frustrating but I got my first sales by sending offer on the buyers section.

Kalambur Thank you. I'll starting working on this right away.

    Couple of ideas for you...

    1. Try to specialize on a given segment in the beginning (Real Estate, Bloggers, Landing Pages, etc...) these are sub-niche topics around web design that people are looking for help with - and a way in to getting some initial business

    2. Get initial projects in with satisfied customers and then get them to give you a testimonial, case study - whenever I look for design work I look for samples that fit what I'm looking for and testimonials from happy people to start with

    3. Share a tip a day around web design (Ideally via your own blog, an easy way would be to create a 2-5 minute video for YouTube and then post it to your blog with a few notes...these could be simple, but useful tips like: Color combo's that work well together, + or - of Wordpress, best WP themes, why design is still necessary when you buy WP theme, basics of graphic design, key elements in banner, etc... you could easily have enough for 365 episodes which would brand you very well in your market

The best form of marketing you can do is any marketing…

Definitely hang in there with the Fiverr thing until you get some orders. But being a Fiverr user, without any ratings it will be very hard to get your first gig. What you can do is to create a new Fiverr account or two and order your gig from yourself. This way you can give yourself a great review to get the ball rolling…not necessarily the most ethical way to go, but if you are that good….you do what you got to do

Also, I would sign up as a freelancer on sites like odesk.com and elance.com. I'm pretty sure it's free to sign up for and all you would need to do is put up some examples of your work (can never have enough testimonials/samples of what you can do).

I hope that helps and you got this

first and most important point is ot get a niche, don't ever do general webdesing
And here's the best niche found, i say it because i'm done about webdesign.
    Create website for coach

Oh and don't charget less than $1500 / website or you will attract cra..y customers.
Go for high price, high quality and high services.
