Just go to a big box store and buy one off the shelf. Why would you want to make a custom funnel?

The most important thing to know about using a funnel builder is that it doesn't actually make you more money; it's still your marketing and relationship-building process that makes people who opt-in to your funnel convert into buyers.

A funnel builder, however, is great if you're technically challenged (like I am); it allows you to put together all those moving parts pretty easily.

Of course, what you put into your funnel will be highly dependent on what you're trying to promote.

Is your funnel a way for potential customers to get to know your overall brand/business? Or are you perhaps promoting a specific product/offer?

I really can't say for sure what your funnel should look like but I will say this... building a high converting funnel is absolutely worth it, so if a custom funnel builder will help you put together all those parts easily, go for it.

SOME structure is better than NO structure.

If it's too fancy, though, it can be hard to figure out what variables are creating success or failure.

Sometimes the simplest funnel--an offer in front of a target market, one hop from a headline/ad to a sales page with a buy button on it--is the best. Certainly for testing the initial offer.

Customization often happens after the concept has been validated, ie. sales have been made. See, at first you want to reach early adopters. They already 'get it'; they know what you're talking about, understand the value completely, and whether they've consciously acknowledged it or not have been wishing somebody like you would come along with your exact solution.

But then there's everybody else. The other 90%.

    They need more convincing.

They aren't aware of the problem you're solving.

They don't understand the magnitude of it.

They don't see how fixing it helps.

And so a more complex funnel is needed to bring these folks through the successive realizations and agreements that result in a sale.

So is leaping to a complicated, highly customized funnel at the start a good idea? IMO, no.

Get something converting first. Find your early adopters and get confirmation that this is a winner. THEN move into adding complexity, so you can reach that other 90%.
