John Chow's Featured Article Slider

Anyone familiar with what "featured posts" slider John Chow uses on his blog?
I Make Money Online by Telling People How I Make Money Online - John Chow dot Com

I know he didn't create do his design himself (I think), but there should be a plugin that works the same way... I haven't found one yet that actually works.

I'm not exactly sure which plugin he's using on that blog, but there is something similar used on themeHybrid, with hybrid-news child theme Hybrid News: Just another WordPress weblog

Featured Content Gallery for Wordpress.

Through your Wordpress admin go to plugins and install new then search for Featured Content Gallery.
It has a full configuration screen and support page.

Of course! I forgot that Featured Content Gallery can be configured to slide sideways.
