Stephen Fry on File Sharing..

Stephen Fry recently (27th July) made a
presentation to the iTunes festival on the
history of copyright, his thoughts on file
sharing and the future of entertainment.

It's available as a podcast from:
Series 2 Episode 4, iTunes Live Festival
The New Adventures of Stephen Fry

There are some interesting points that
apply to all digital media and some people
may think that his views are somewhat
controversial.

Well worth a listen.

    Thanks John,

Could you, and/or anyone who listens, give brief highlights, main points etc. Not getting audio right now.

As you might guess, he talks about a lot of
things, but the general theme was that the
draconian actions by the big record companies
against individuals who download "free" music
and other media isn't the best approach.

Wow good find. I've always thought the same way. The music industry has wasted a lot of time and money going after downloaders, when they could have been spending their time and money on a service similar to itunes. They'd be much better off right now if they had started investing in the technology 10 - 12 years ago when mp3s first started becoming popular.

By the way I found it here for those that can't get the podcast:
