Need a Jump Start! Beginner!

Hello guys! I am very excited to be here! My start of entrepreneurship is exciting as hell and I hope to blow it out!

Anyways, my main concern is traffic. I have already ended my first campaign on Jema Leads, a derivative of Jema Media. 1200+ clicks, but no conversions and 50 dollars down the drain. I wish I could go back, but it has taught me well and it broadened my perspective when it comes to traffic-getting.

I have watched some of Vick Strizheus' videos on Youtube and I have learned some eye-opening things even if one of the video's techniques are outdated. Right now, I have my sights set on solo ads and Ad Optim, but I need some guidance that will further broaden my perspective on traffic getting that isn't limited to solo ads and PPC. I was very narrow-minded when it came to PPC advertising and that's what caused my failure with Jema Leads, going with my excitement rather than my knowledge of the platform.

I'd rather not learn from hindsight again and I want to hear your guy's strategies to get high-quality traffic that produces conversions. However, my budget is constrained and I have about 50 dollars to spend, but I suspect that I'll be getting 100 dollars in the next 2 weeks and maybe an extra 70 dollars if my shirts sell on craigslist lol.

If you have read this whole post and plan to give your suggestions, I appreciate it very much! You have no idea. I searched the Warrior Forum and I didn't find what I was looking for, but if there's a thread that can answer my question, I'd appreciate it very much if you could link it!

THANK YOU GUYS! Have a good night!

The one thing that I love about your post is that you're up for giving things a shot. This is the first step towards being successful! Without failure you won't learn and grow.

Next, let me ask you a question what are you sending traffic to and how are you trying to convert that traffic? By the sounds of your post it sounds like you might be running traffic directly to an affiliate offer.

Here is a couple of tips. First things first. With traffic you want targeted traffic. You want someone that clicks your ad that is going to want what is on the other side. The best way to do this is with targeting your ad directly to your offer. For example: If your ad says "Download the top 40 Paleo Recipes" your landing page should have a headline that says download the top 40 recipes and have an optin for them to subscribe. This is the first step towards making sure your traffic is targeted.

Next, most cold traffic isn't going to immediately buy. A very small percentage if any will. Your goal with cold traffic is first get them to become warm to you and your offer. The best way to do this is by getting them on an email list, delivering content, and promoting your offers on the back-end of that content. That's a start for you!

I agree with wfletch 24. You need to get People to a landing or opt in page. Give them a free report with great information, for giving you their email address which will put them on your list. You could start out with PLR or Resale Rights product. Check out Facebook ads. They virtually give you the farm, in terms of putting your ad in front of People who will be interested in what you are offering. They also make it easy for you to have a budget. Use your ad to give away a free report, on your optin page. Sometimes these resale rights packages have a report an opt in page, and the actual product, and download page. You get the whole marketing package.

In mail order this was called the 2 step method. first a freebie to get them interested and also to build your authority, and then the freebie has a link to the main product, or you can send a 7 day email course and then promote your product that way. This also furthers your authority and trust factor, because you are giving them great information, even before you sell them anything.

If you're going to play the PPC game, I highly, highly, highly recommend that you up your copywriting game.

Your ability to write excellent copy is going to make or break your ability to turn a profit with direct media buys or any PPC for that matter.

If you want to know the key to becoming a great copywriter...

        Go to this website:

        swiped.co

And start copying BY HAND all of the ads listed on that website.

As you are copying by hand with a pen and paper, really dig deep into the ad. Figure out the psychology behind its compelling nature.

Do that for a while (I've been doing it for almost 3 years straight every single day) and you'll get to a point where direct media buying is like playing the stock market...

... Except that you win every time.

Nice tip. I have written copy before but not direct (mail, email or long sales page-type copy) so that was a good tip to maybe up my game a bit. Thanks.

    Hi there,

I would suggest you to write as much informative content as possible on your blog.

This will not only bring relevant traffic but keep them glued on your blog.

Try to write at least an article per day.

    Regards,

If you're going to do more paid traffic, you should learn the following:

    - copywriting

    - conversion optimization

    - email marketing

Also, a great way to get "free" traffic is to create content that is both relevant and helpful to your target audience, and share it in different forms across multiple platforms. More on that here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...l#post10544324

It's what I did when I got started online as I didn't really have an advertising budget.

testing, testing and testing. PPC is some of the highest quality traffic when your dealing with proper networks such as google or bing. Always start small with your promoting and never look at it as money wasted or down the drain. You need to spend some money or time to get data to improve on.

I would suggest that if you have a limited budget like you said you have only $ 50 to spend on traffic, I would suggest you to find ad swap partners for your existing email list, this is how you can get some free traffic. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the tips guys! I already feel welcomed here!

I've got a PDF that I could give for free, but I'll have to figure out a way to code a website to offer it. Sounds easy enough.

And I've read "Influence" and Dan Kennedy to enhance my copyright skills. I'm continually learning and I'll never stop. I also got my list of keywords, I think about 80 and I'm thinking if I ever do PPC again, I would start on Ad Optim instead of Jema Media.

I'll look over the tips one at a time and I'll let you know how it works! Thanks!

My recommendation would be to build social media accounts and create amazing content that could go viral...

that way you can start your business without a huge overhead and start building relationships with your clients.

Alright guys, I'm back and I have a blog up and running, Facebook page, and free content for my subscribers when they opt-in.

Danieldesai, I'll check out that link right now.

Wfletch24, I am trying to convert traffic. I am the vendor. I am the one selling. I'm thinking for PPC, I would start with Ad Optim if I were to give it another go. I had about 80+ keywords, and Ad Optim gave a rate of $0.13.

Budget update: I anticipate that I will have 180 dollars soon to work with. Your suggestions to how to reallocate the money wisely?
