I am about to run my own affiliate program (using Post Affiliate Pro). Thinking in terms of the future, is it important to collect tax payer/SSN information from your affiliates or is it optional to request information. I want to do what will help protect me legally in the future and come tax-time so I am wondering what some of you warriors may do. |

I dont give mine until its needed. Sites that require it before then, I just put 000-00-0000. If the dont accept it, I dont promote them. You should just make it known that if their payments reach $600 you will not pay until it's provided. But yes it is needed if you pay them over $600.00. |
