I've got an affiliate selling a new product of mine like crazy but he is from Great Britain and Paypal is refusing to accept some of these customers. The sale goes through and within 24 to 48 hours Paypal reverses the sale, it's happened 6 times in the last 72 hours. Is there anything I can do about it? Do I need another payment processor for my product if it's selling well around the world? Would you try to get the payment some other way? Thanks, Scott Miller |

Is this a digital or physical product? What reasons do PayPal give for acting this way? I am in the UK, about 12% of my users are from the UK and I have had no experience like yours. PS Which affiliate network do you use? I use PayPal and am looking for a good affiliate network. |

Recently, when I've been receiving payments from customers of £197+ Paypal have had to approve the payments. Never used to happen before, I don't know why they are doing it now?!

This is a digital product. I just talked to Paypal and they say that all of the transactions appear to be fraudulent. What are the odds of that? Also they informed me that there is nothing I can do about it! I'm so mad I don't even know what to do... Scott Miller | |

Hi Scott I don't think PayPal have a radically different policy in the UK from that in the US. Have you investigated the methods used by the specific affiliate to get so many sales in the first place? For example, if the affiliate was misrepresenting aspects of your product in the sales process, I could imagine buyers taking umbrage after receipt. Or maybe they weren't legitimate sales to start with. Just a thought. Frank |

Paypal is really a pain. They hurt nearly everybody on the net. I do not trust them, they can be radical at will
