Ok so i am back with another question that should help alot of noobs in choosing a quality product to sale. ok so first of all as i always say im a long term guy i dont build flogs, and i dont promote crappy products but what i would like to know which is better.. should i sale brand new products..you know those that entered the market only days ago?? or should i go for products that have been around for months or even years?? because 1 "GURU" told me to promote brand new fresh products because the lack of competition... but another "GURU" told me to pretty much sale products that have been around and have a few ppc campaigns that way you know they are making money and that means theres money in that market for me to make... lastly what is your take on recurring billing products it seems to me that for my long term business plan these products would be the best to have in my portfolio.. |

I always check the gravity, it tells you how well the product has done in the past 8 weeks, if it has good gravity it tends to do well in the future as well. Cheers, emma. |

Both high gravity products can make you money, and low gravity products as well. If you know what you're doing, then go for a higher gravity product. A higher gravity product usually has a huge market, and a huge potential for sales. Don't be afraid of the competition.

but i do know that there are ways to "artificially boost" a products gravity!! so thats why i dont put a lot of weight on that alone..also a brand new product would not have any data to show the gravity any way so would someone care to touch on that topic... is it good to sale new products? what are the obstacles? whats the benefits? etc,etc answer the same for products that have recurring billing please.. |

It depends. There are pros and cons for each. If you're trying to get in before everyone else with SEO etc, new products can be good as you'll rank quite easily for the product name. The downside is that there won't be much traffic for it and when traffic does go up, so will competition... However, for the long run I think you're best promoting products that your audience wants. For example, the fitness market is one I'm involved in. I have a few evergreen products that I recommend regularly, but when a new product comes out and it looks like something my subscribers want, I'll jump on the bandwagon. It's a bit of a hard question to answer without knowing your promotional strategy. Sean |

I tend to go with the products with some sort of proven sales track record on CB, and that's because my theory is that the sales copy converts well. New products just aren't proven yet, unless it is a new product by a person who I have promoted before. Then I kind of know the copy is probably similar quality.

thats absolutely right... and the only way to test if a vendors sales copy works is by promoting it and seeing if it converts...if it deosnt you have just wasted time and possibly money.. so i think if choosing to promote new products its best to promote products from vendors who you know 1) make great products and 2) use a good sales copy.
