I Just signed up, need help with my panic attack site

Hi everybody, I hope I don't violate the rules here since I just signed up as a new member for this forum.

About 8 months ago, I have launched a product called the Asian Panic Attack Healing Secrets, basically it's teaching people the alternative ways to heal panic attacks using the asian style.

Initially I have no clue about Internet Marketing until I came across a book in the book store called "Make US Dollar In Your Pajamas". That's where I got inspired that ANYBODY can start writing an ebook!

As I thought this is an exciting opportunity, for 8 months I have only had 2 sales! lol. I spent nearly $400 (USD) on most of the Marketing Courses Online, but it doesn't seem to work. I lost my money mostly on Adwords, PPC marketing, Website Advertising and I even contacted virtually everyone in this niche by browsing through the ClickBank Marketplace, but none of them replied.

I really feel like giving up now, but i know there is a way, I just can't figure it out.

I heard a lot about Warrior Forum from one of the Marketing Products I bought, it seems this is where I can find JV partners and so on.

Anyway, (i wanted to post my link here, but i'm required to have 5 more posts to do that) PM me If you would like to work out with me, so i can give you my link.

I have no clue what to do now. Would really appreciate if there's some advice for me.

(Sorry, i'm really new here, i just signed up about 10mins ago, my post volume is very low,i will try to post more often)

THank You
Yang

    Hello Yang,

First off, block out some time (a few hours) and search this forum. IN fact, before you even search it, just go through some of the threads where the titles seem interesting to you. Get a feel for what the basic concepts of IM are. THEN, do some searches.

The good news is that panic attacks (and other health problems) have some of the hungriest buyers online today. So your instincts were good in terms of picking a niche. Now you just need to dig in here and engage people and learn how IM works.

One tip: question everything. A lot of things that people dress up as fact will just be opinion. Virtually no one here is immune to that. Get a consensus by looking through a lot of threads on similar topics. Things will begin to sort themselves out and you'll see a path to success.

Thank YOu So Much for your advice. I am actually searching around for relevant sources.

One thing that cant make me figure out is, HOW CAN I THANK A PERSON? As in , to increase that "THANK YOU" figure. Sorry, i just can't find it.

Look at the bottom right-hand side of each individual post in this thread. You'll see a line of black oval buttons that read (left to right):

    QUOTE MULTIQUOTE QUICK REPLY THANKS

Just click on the THANKS button and it'll add your username below their post as thanking them.

    Hi Yang,
I write about natural depression treatment for one of my niches, and I have found that one of the best ways to reach this type of "soft" market is to gain visibility in the bigger sites and forums that this customer visits. For instance, I write articles for a the second largest women's magazine site online and I get a LOT of traffic from this site as well as some good PR ranking love.

Second, it seems as if you tried the most costly marketing strategies first before building a "platform" and visibility in your marketplace. You have to build trust with customers. That's why I choose article marketing as my primary marketing strategy, because it builds trust with the types of customers in my marketplace. And I think it would do the same for yours as well. You could try article marketing, social marketing, blogging, teleseminars, etc. Remember this is a different audience then say a customer looking to find the best deal on a TV. For them it's about price. For your market it's about do i trust this guy to give me good information.

    Best,

It would be good if you could make a few more posts and post your link so we can take a look at your sales page. Chances are there is a lot of room for improvement there. Also, Lisa gave some great advice. It's handy to build a platform where some people know of you and trust your stuff.

It's hard to get trust over the net when you're just trying to sell people stuff right away. Do you have any free content that you're getting out there? Reports, ecourses, videos, anything like that?

I'd suggest that you work on your marketing by getting lots of good content out there. Work on your sales page to also help conversion and then once you start making money yourself off the site, bring on the affiliates.

On a different angle, my wife is adamant that not everybody's anxiety disorders (depression, panic, PTSD, whatever) are fixable using "natural" methods.

She has depression, PTSD and panic/anxiety and she won't even look at natural treatments or cures. She is sure that her kind of anxiety and depression are rooted in brain chemistry, and that just trying to 'think positive' is not going to fix that.

(FWIW, I suspect she's right. She's tried to go off meds and do just psychotherapy, it was a disaster.)

If you are having trouble with sales, I would ask if people find your method credible. Is it really possible to have totally natural drug-free methods that work, in a culture that believes pills are the only true solution??? If you don't have a pill, how can it really work?

Most people are going to believe that they have the 'worst' kind of their condition, the kind that requires the big guns to fix. The natural methods might work on someone else but it isn't going to work for them. So you have an extra mountain to climb just in peoples' core perceptions.

I don't know your site, your method, or anything else. I'm just reporting what I hear in my house.

I am in Anxiety niche as well, just to give some of my research ideas:

      1. Anxiety may be caused by physical or mental problem, you can use drug to cure physical symptoms, but psychological problem requires mental treatment.

      2. Over dosage of anxiety medication may cause severe damage, just be careful with this, seek advice from doctor.

      3. I would prefer to try natural method first, and use more aggressive approach later.

      Just my 2 cents...

It sounds like you really believe in your niche market and I think that is an important first step. I agree with some other posts that you need to build your online presence through article marketing and joining some niche specific forums and offer solutions to other peoples problems on a continual basis (like what we are doing on this forum by helping you with answers to your questions). I also agree that a free "taste" of your product, whether it is a video, report, newsletter, etc. is a good way to hook your audience and show that you have knowledge in your niche. Keep at it and you will begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

One thing I just wonder about. Your site is written in English. Might you have better success if it was written in Malay - that might seem more specifically targeted from the point of view of your potential customers.
