Is Social Bookmarking Still Worth It?

If you can find a social bookmarking site where there is a large amount of your target audience sharing/consuming each others' links & you can provide value into that community rather than just marketing spam its definitely worth a shot.

It is definitely still worth it not for links though but for visitors and traffic, having said this, if you are just going on posting your own stuff you will not get anywhere. Get to know the community and participate and you should get some good results... I have heard of crazy numbers from Reddit

Yes, but you need to be sure of the quality of the social bookmarking sites. Does it have a good amount of users who can see the links that you shared? Do search engines index that site and all the links to that site? And what % of social bookmarks will you have compared to your other links. Everything in moderation. Social bookmarks ought only be a small part of a much bigger pie.

SBM Still worth it? You bet. The key is to share really good content in the 750 word range, preferably easy to scan. Many people that read social book marking sites are in a hurry so a good 5 to 7 point posting is perfect. However, to get noticed in your niche you need to have a benefit driven title and and an introduction that draws the reader into your content.

Think Viral content.

I believe it still worth it. Some of the social bookmarking websites are gone but you still have lots of websites where you can bookmark your content and get some traffic.
