If you're referring to the link in your signature, you can put any link as long as it's a website that belongs to you (minus porn, I assume).

That means no affiliate links or pages given to you by a program you're promoting.

Some suggestions; if you're building a main business in the internet marketing space you should put a squeeze page to collect leads.

If not, and you just want to monetize the time spent on the forum, you can just review a product or have a blog post with affiliate links.

    Regards,
    Daniel

You definitely want to link your signature to a property you own or to a opt-in page or
    blogger blog.
    Your social media site
The main point is to link to you. Build your list.

You can add what ever link you want. The best is it should be related to you and don't add porn links.

I don't know if you can really post a link to a blogger site or social media page. I know there are some members who do that here.

However, here is rule no.5 from the WF Forum Rules:
      ------------------------------------------

      (5) No Affiliate Links Allowed - Promote Your Own Domain/s Only. It's either this or we have to cut out sig files altogether which we do not want to do.

      ------------------------------------------

Blogger blogs (free blogs) and social media aren't technically your 'own' domain.

This is a 'GREY' area no doubt.

No affiliate links in this forum. Just your own domain name. Some other internet marketing forums accept affiliate links (read the guidelines first). I see the best link that redirects to your squeeze page that captures names and emails to get better conversions

In posts, you cannot self promote or drop your own links or affiliate links. In your signature, you can use links to sites that you own. No affiliate links or affiliate websites in signature.

Best link you can put inside your post is the one that is most helpful to the community. While in the signature, just put website that very best describe your offer / business or maybe your blog to introduce yourself about your experience online? If someone loves your post, they might click your siggy and optin as your subscribers. Make your siggy PERSONAL.

Avoid link spamming as WF moderator can ban your account, or any attempt of directly marketing by self promoting in your post. WF is good place to build relationship, build list, gain recognition, but just plain sales pitch with questionable link is a NO-NO.

This may help as well as some of the great answers you have

    1. Do not use affiliate links in your signature file.

    8. If your sig file is a bunch of keyword phrases with links on them, don't be surprised if it's deleted. If that happens, don't just re-insert the same sort of thing. Especially if there's no way for us to know the domain belongs to you.

You are not allowed to link to other people's sites that way from this forum. If you get caught doing it, you're likely to be permanently banned.

    9. Read the stickies at the top of this section, and make sure you understand them.

    Hey,

Do not make the mistake of inserting affiliate links. A link to your blog or website is just fine, until you are not spamming.

Warrior Forum is all about helping people, and not about marketing your own products, services, blogs, or websites.

You can definitely insert links of reference blogs or articles present on other reputed websites, for a comprehensive solution to the mentioned problem.

Absolutely that could be...Squeeze page, Blog. As long as you don't put your affiliate link on that, that would be ok. You can see the signature of a lot members in this Forum to reference. Good luck man!

As long as the squeeze page or blog is your own domain, you can add affiliate links to your squeeze page or blog and use it in your signature. You just can't directly link an affiliate link in your signature.

Actually, only in his signature. You cannot post links to your own sites in the discussion forums. They will get deleted and if you do it often enough, a mod will ban you.

I see an awful lot that don't get deleted. It seems to be the new "normal."

I report every one I see. If you report them, they disappear and the posters get banned if it's a pattern.

I reported an affiliate link earlier which has been removed.

For awhile I was reporting self-promotional links which were not, so I gave up.
