I read a lot of Self Growth type books. They aren't really "Motivational" books so to speak, but they do it for me. Authors like Tolle, Chopra and Dyer. Old "New Thought" stuff like The Power and the Word or newer works like The Four Agreements. Some would call it New Age, but I'm not one of them...

I remind myself that someone else is out there who is going to out work me that are using the same keywords in the same niche. If that happens, they are going to take my traffic and money. I don't like to lose money

One key I have found to personal motivation is to create rewards related to individual steps of accomplishment.
Right now, for example, I am trying to lose weight. For every 5 pounds I keep off for 7 consecutive days I am giving myself a reward. This week it was 5 Cohibas--and I have been staying away from cigars until I "earned" them. I try to keep the desire for reward in proportion to the difficulty of the activity. |

For me, it's setting small goals and reaching those goals that keeps me motivated because reaching those goals are the small steps I need to take to get to the ultimate goal - work full time from home and wealth.
That and the fact that, no matter what, I will be doing something a year from now to make a living. Whether that's working for somebody else or myself is completely up to me. I will be self employed some day and if I have to put in extra hours now, so be it...it will pay off! |

As Napoleon Hill said 'What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve'. You got to have a definite plan on what kind of business you want to set up. If that's difficult, then consider making your goal a bit more simple.
The next thing you got to do is to believe that you can achieve your desired outcome. What makes me more confident is to read the stories from others, how they have made money doing something similar or often even things much more simple than what I'm planning! |

I try to engage in one activity a day that I most likely could not do if I was working a conventional job. Sometimes it's going for a drive in the middle of the day, sometimes it's playing with my kids in the middle of the afternoon, and sometimes it's taking my wife out to lunch. Then, when I need to get motivated I think about how much I enjoy those things and that the only way to keep being able to do them is to get back to work and be productive.

Being creative and making money online, using new idea's.
The best part about being 100% original is it becomes fun wondering if your new program or system is going to become popular. Sure deep down you know it will be a huge success. But when you finally see the big paydays become reality it's great. There's always new worlds of Internet Marking to Challenge. To me marketing is only a game, I play to win. Remember there's more to life than money.....oooops did I say that...ok ok....I meant it. Play the Internet Marketing game to win. And be creative, be the first man or women to step on a new planet...if you get my point of view....making money online can be an adventure....so live the dream. |

Haha,
I watch movies that have sports or competition, how they start off a no body to somebody. Rocky series, Coach Carter, etc... For books, I think Bible is the best book that will keep me motivated. I also attend seminars that does motivation as well. Tony Robbins will be a great choice. His latest seminar Unleash The Power Within Singapore will be coming on Sept 09. I will be there to hear from Tony again. |

I remind myself of my infinite power to
be rich. I remind myself of God's promises. I write down the most motivating scriptures on index cards and have them on my desk so that I can glance at them when I'm getting frustrated. In the AM I get myself in a state of certainty (thanks to Tony Robbins) to start my day off right. I use incantations instead of affirmations. |

I often look into my calender. Where different month represents different Quote.
For August, the Motivational Quote is CHALLENGE : Your Biggest Task is not to get ahead of Others, but to surpass yourself. I have been looking at this for 8 months (since the day i began my internet business this year). And it still keep me going, although i only made 2 sales. Hope it helps. |

I'm motivated from within. It's a lot more powerful than any external motivation.

I watch movies like "Facing The Giants," and also read. And, a lot of that reading is from the Bible.
But, I'm surprised that nobody mentioned what I think is the number 1 way to stay motivated: Audio Tapes (or in this day and age CDs and MP3s) from motivational experts. As you have to drive back and forth everyday, you might as well spend time listening to motivation. Make it a great day! Brother Paul |

My dreams keep myself motivated to succeed. I am a person who always look for ways to make myself useful and that makes me fulfilled. As long as I have dreams I'll remain motivated and willing to strive more to reach my goal.

Tear apart your safety net. Have no fallback plans. Don't assume the rescue of anyone. Either you make this work or nothing.
With this mindset and reality, you'll be stressed while you're trying, but you'll always be trying. And my guess when it works for you, you'll be set for good... |

I read the bible and trust in God.
I watch "The Secret" also. I have the book I don't allow negative thoughts to have a place. Once you do, they come out of your mouth and come to pass for you. |

Now that's an equation I never got taught at school ![]() Money is my motivator too but reading success stories on forums such as WF also keeps the business fresh. If you have given a piece of advice which has helped someone in some small way to be successful, it's a real buzz and there's a real 'feel good' factor that goes hand in hand with this. Steve. |
