I have a friend who wants to sell his photography online. Any ideas for ways to do that? I've only ever sold information products so I'm not sure how to market photography online.

Ask your friend to check these sites to see how they are maintaining a database of photographs, selling, copyrights etc.

Yeah I second that, those sites are the way to do it. Cost of it has come down BIG TIME, you gotta do it by quantity to make money.

Also, check out http://www.dreamstime.com and http://www.tradebit.com

There shouldn't be any reason your friend couldn't list their their photos for sale on multiple sites!

If your friend wants to REALLY make money selling his photos online, it can be done. BUT, not via "iStock". "fotolia", etc. Their payouts are pretty lame.

You can shoot me a PM if you'd like, and I can steer you toward some pretty solid info that will pay more like $20+ for shots, instead of just 10¢ on the dollar.

      Pete

PS: Having been a freelance photographer for over 20-years, I can pretty much tell you which sites are "junk" and which are not. I've looked them ALL over.

Fact: The world is full of starving artists and photographers.

Fact: Photographers who shoot great photos are a dime a dozen.

Fact: Last weekend my wife and I made over $15,000 shooting and selling
simple portraits in our portable living room photo studio! We also sold an extra
$20,000 of portraits last weekend by paying a mom with a camera to shoot
simple snapshots for us on a simple white background in the next town to us.

Fact: It's not about how good your photos are, its about how well you market.

Fact: If you know what I know you too can easily book hundreds of paying portrait
clients and simply hire other photographers to shoot the portraits for you.

Fact: The Mom who we hired never took a photo in her life before meeting us. In fact -
she paid us $795 back in April 09 for the simple but unique portraits we took of her kids
      in our living room.

Fact: I mentioned to her that we could show her how to earn at least $500 every weekend
with her digital camera, one light and a reflector, taking simple 1 - 2 - 3 cookie cutter snapshots
using an inexpensive piece of white vinyl for her backdrop.

Fact: Her photos weren't great at all but she still sold over $20,000 of ink on paper to
      the clients we sent her.

Fact: We paid her a 20% commission . . . she earned over $2,000 her first weekend!

Fact: After all of our expenses of printing up and posting out the portrait orders my wife and
I doubled our profits on her no talent pictures compared to our own photo sessions. We made
a $15,000 profit off of her pictures. The same amount we made off of our own efforts but we
leveraged her efforts into $15,000 in just one day. My wife and I have to shoot one day and
sell the photos on another day. But by teaching others how to shoot our style of simple and
easy portraits we don't have to be present for the photo sessions.

Fact: My wife and I can show you how to duplicate our EZ Photo Cash Business!

Fact: We are willing to teach anybody how to do what we do upfront for free if they agree to
pay us 20% of their portrait sales. Contact us only if you are serious about taking action
and earning more money in a month than most people make in a year.

Fact: Making Money With A Camera Has Never Been As Simple or Easy As This!

      Cheers,

      Steve
