Designing a new service

So I realized that if i can sell $200+ per day i would do alright online..

So i want to become a music marketer, i bought 4 books on the subject and i want to create some kind of service that is scaleable based on results and value...

So i guess my question is what kind of ideas do you have for this?

Right now i could:
Set up a website
Drive LOTS of traffic to the site with an SEO tool
Promote through Facebook groups
Promote to various blogs and radio that reach 10k+ people
Write the copy

I guess my offer would be "for $200 ill get you 50+ new fans to your music"

so ideas?

You dont just setup a site, drive traffic to it with some magical SEO tool and make 200$ a day ;-)

Set up a website is a good first step, but driving the traffic will be hard work and income will be more like 200$ a month in the beginning.

If you still want to go on: wordpress is your friend!

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there is a good market for offering promotional services for musicians but you might want to change your offer so that you don't promise 50 "fans".

You have the right idea in that you want to actively promote your service but this will take time and and a lot of skill (which you can always develop, so don't be discouraged).

The music industry is very lucrative but cut-throat competitive so don't take what I said above lightly.

    Wishing you the best,

    CJ,

IMO, with what you've given us as your idea, what you'll be spending your day on is driving traffic. Are you good at that? Is that what you really want to do with your time?

If I loved music, and wanted to make music marketing my career, I would choose a different monetization idea. I think I would develop a music community with lots of different channels, and derive income from musical groups (bands and solo artists) that wanted to be spotlighted on one of the channels in my community of avid music fans.

Research the market, find out what the problems are in the market and provide a solution. Is 50+ new fans worth $200? That is something you need to find out. And also how are you going to provide someone with 50+ new fans? It sounds like you have a decent start, I think the best thing to do is to start taking action and you will learn as you go.

A plan can sound good in theory but you never know what is going to happen until you execute the plan.

I work with a lot of independent artists and they are very leery of offers like this. There are tons of pay for promotion deals out there. Many are scams, others might not be outright scams but are not worth the money. I am sure you can find new artists willing to pay money, but chances are they aren't going to get $200 worth of exposure and eventually your reputation will take a nosedive.

If you are going to charge $200 you need to provide something of real value. Either that, or do some kind of revenue share so that the artists feel that you are really behind them.

The music industry is ultimately about exposure. If you can 'drive Lots of traffic' and assuming that traffic is targeted then that's what I'd sell.

With Facebook ads and YouTube ads you should be able to be quite specific in the people you are promoting to.

Go with a more concrete objective than fans ie sell video views or itune sales. Just make sure you can actually do it and aren't going to jump over to fiverr when you get desperate.

You'll command higher fees and longer term customers if you can deliver actual people to the product.

It is good that you have design a website. But next important thing is its promotion. You will have to do online marketing strategies like SEO, SMO to brings lots of quality traffic on your website and also to get website promotion.

You can also try Facebook ads,PPC.Just focus on target people and use these techniques.
