How Can I Convert My Skills To Online Marketing?

Basically I have been doing marketing for my brick and mortar business and others for a while now and have gotten pretty good at it when it comes to local print and local Google Adwords and Facebook. I kind of want to take the next step and start looking into something more online for me to get my feet wet.

I really like the idea of creating ads and paying to have them displayed. My local Google Adwords for my business and 2 others I have done have all been converting in the positive for quite some time now. I know online is probably different though. What are some things I can look into that are solely online that I can start researching and looking into and try this out. Basically I'm looking for something where i can buy ad space and run ads promoting whatever and trying to convert it and get paid.

Any help or tips would be appreciated.

    Judging by the links in your signature you already have some areas of expertise. Maybe you should start with running ads about those sorts of items?

    It sounds like you might be good at affiliate marketing and promoting CPA offers.
    I would sign up to affiliate networks such as Peerfly, Maxbounty, etc and try promoting those offers.
