Looking for A to Z manual to create and sell Info Product

Hey guys, love the site. I'm looking for a macro view survey of the Info Product business. Yanik Silver has a $3k course and Roy Carter has one for a lot less but it's at least 8 years old, but that's all I've come across.

There's tons of info on specific niches but I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive but accurate overview of the various parts of the process so that I know what I need to either learn or get help with.

Thanks for any suggestions

All these courses are not worth their money in my opinion.

    1. Get a website up and running
    2. Fill it with related content
    3. Get some quality backlinks
    4. Spread the site using Advertising or Social Media and hope for some good google traffic

You can read up on the how-tos of each step on various blogs for free. But that should be the general outline I guess

Definitely do not follow this advice.

This is a terrible plan if you want to make money creating and selling info products.

I don't understand how people can not read a post at all, give completely bad advice and then think people will click on their signature for more bad advice...

      For the OP:
"Digital Products" is such a broad and vague term and you have not said what niche you want to work in.

Software is not the same as an iPhone app is not the same as an ebook is not the same as a Udemy Course is not the same as a WP plugin.

A lot of what niche you want to work in and what kind of digital product you want to create will determine which "guru" course is best.

    Here is one way :
Go to Warrior Plus and some kats like Paul Nicholls, Alex Jeffries, Mat Bacak, Derrick Van Dyke have some really great and very affordable products ( $10 and less).

Buy their Courses then go over them and take Notes and really learn and educate yourself.

Proceed to implement some of their strategies.

If they work, take what you have learned and experienced and write an E book or video Course with your complete spin on things with your OWN unique view.

Go from Traffic Generation to Sales Funnel to Copy Writing to Conversions and all between

    First the PRODUCT.

Your info product could be a singe sheet of paper, like a HOTSHEET.
It could be a series of email.
It could be a video. DVd. Flash drive
    Or audio. Mp3. Telephone.
It could be a digital report, booklet, pamphlet, ebook OR actually written and printed on paper.

So, the product itself is determined by

The quantity and quality of the info...but more specifically

produced for a specific market, niche or PERSON.

Most wisdom says start with the PERSON and find out what sort of info they BUY.

Where do they go to buy it? How often do they buy and in what form?

Once you have identified the TARGET PROSPECT, the potential buyer, and considering what you have learned about this person...

    THEN,

you choose the information kind, as listed above.

If they only need a guide, no need for you to waste time writing a book, right?

When you begin and look for niches, markets and prospects, you consider the size of the market (golf-huge) the niche (seniors retired living in the South USA) and

    KNOW (from your research)
    what they are buying...

You can then either CREATE and/or

    ACQUIRE

INFORMATION they are known to want and to pay for...

then you create (or have created for you)

an INTERSECTION where your info product and the PROMOTION you have for it...

meets your ideal prospect at the time he/she is most likely to be seeking it.

And, if they like your initial stuff, meaning SATISFACTION is paramount, they will come back again and again as if you have set a bowl of peanuts on your bar, and they buy your info as they might buy a cold brewski in a real one.

THERE, your MACRO overview from an info publisher of 30+ years, OK?

Another ONE post wonder. Oh, well.

He got some good advice in the thread, and I'm bumping it, because, when you get this many quality responses at the WF these days, it deserves more views.

So, despite if the Milkman got anything from the thread, I learned some new things.

My response was a direct answer for his request for an A to Z macro view. But, today, I'll share some micro details too.

And start with a specific example of the creation of an Information Product, in the hopes this case study might prove valuable for a few.

In 1992 I was operating a golf training center, I had 5 PGA Pros on my payroll. After analyzing over 10,000 different golf swings and over 1200 member scorecards from a three year period, I discovered what was wrong with the game of golf and instruction.

The result of this research became a way of thinking, called TARP or THINK AND REACH PAR. Students taught this showed rapid improvement. SO...

      I started holding workshops...and found,

I could make as much money in two hours of talking as I could in a full day of teaching.

My first use of LEVERAGE on the information.

The second lever was a cassette recording of the workshop, very guerrilla.

Then a professional cassette. Then a CD, and by then an Internet site.

My golf INFORMATION products soon became CDs, booklets, hotsheets, guides and all in all it was doing very well. But my passion for golf waned, I grew tiresome and had other interests.
But the lessons from creating and marketing these Information products gave me a pretty good handle on the process, A to Z as the milkman wanted.

Tons of courses on Infopreneuring, from free to thousands of dollars, but at the end of the day it comes down to these 4 elements.

      Prospect.
      Product
      Promotion
      SALES

      Information for who? Why?
Product format to match the market.
Intersection, where your promotion meets your prospect.

SALES, at a rate ahead of expenses and for as long a duration as the market bears.

IF you want to create Information Products, it isn't difficult, it is as easy as talking to your computer.

Selling to an "evergreen" market becomes an Automated Product Vending machine, I've had a few for over a decade. You set the machine in the break room, in other words, you set up your Info Product vending site on the path people travel.

This concludes the A to Z Info Empire Classroom.

Skim the cream, or udderly ignore. Up to you.

I've bought "The Ultimate Profit Empire" by Alex Jeffreys quite a while back (just out of curiosity).

It doesn't get into the technical nitty-gritty details but it's quite a solid product (for the price) that gives you a clear sense of direction:

    - how to find a profitable market

    - how to create a good product

    - how to build a good website with high converting copy

    - how to get traffic to your product sales page

If you have to get any sort of paid guide, that's the only one I can honestly recommend but it's definitely worth it.

    Regards,
    Daniel

I learned a great deal from purchasing Bill Meyers courses. (http://www.bmyers.com/) They were video courses and they didn't fool around with excessive filler. Just straight to the point videos that didn't waste your time. You can also become a member of his site and learn a ton from others that are making money creating info products of all kinds. I made my first video course and his resources that helped me out a ton. I hope this helps!

You don't need to spend that kind of money! I would keep looking for the information you need on the Internet for free first. Honestly, with all of the incredible free info out there I can't imagine anyone paying that much money. God Bless!

If you are going to do email marketing, and you should, I would go with a coach called:

    Terry Dean.

He is the best of the best when it comes to email marketing.
