So I created my website about a week ago. But I check it today and and there were like 7 new post and 10 people signed up but the post were about health, hair, and even law! They posted it in the graphic designs section.

If you don't know my website is about freelancing and trading services for other services. So I moved there threads to the miscellaneous section. Would you suggest me to delete there threads and there accounts or keep the threads in the miscellaneous section since it's still content but has nothing to do with freelancing or my website.

An where the hell did these people even come from?

    Hey Pocketchange,

It sounds to me that your website is some type of forum for freelancing? Or you could also be referencing your comment section of your blog?

What ever the case is. I would suggest you put some type of captcha or another form of prevention to protect your site from bots. Have this in place so when users sign up they have to fill it out.

Now If they are real people just spamming on your site. I would say this is your call whether to delete the post or keep them. If they are adding value, and the content resonates with your site then I would keep it. Anything other than that I would delete.

This is just my opinion, and hopefully this helps you.

    Take care buddy!

Delete the posts and the users. They don't help your website and make it look unprofessional. Plus if you leave it, it will encourage even more.

Set your comments to be moderated if it is a blog and install anti-spam plugins if it is CMS you are using. If it's a forum, there are settings you can use to help mitigate spam or catch it early at least. You can also use a CDN, firewall, or other means to block bots as well, which will cut down on much of it. Human users you will have to use other means.

Spammers come from all over, including many users of this forum. There are many products being sold here teaching people to spam and many posts being made encouraging it. You will never totally eliminate it from happening, but you can take steps to lessen it and you should delete it definitely.
