"Solo Ads" - For Real, or Just More Phony Nonsense?

I had never even heard of them till seeing someone here mention them the other day. I thought they were just using another term for describing advertising on Adwords or Bing, but I just did a little search and discovered there is a whole ecosystem of sorts to peddle this to people like us.

Some time ago I did try the minimum purchase for one of those silly sites that sells traffic, and not surprisingly it turned out to be nothing but throwing my $ down the drain. So it would seem to me that everything even remotely similar to that is nothing but fraud, fraud, and more fraud.

I assume some "solo ad" peddlers must be fake, but is there such a thing as the "real deal" with quality traffic for this, or is it all just nonsense designed to steal your money?

The majority of solo ads are garbage.

There are a small handful of sellers who provide quality traffic but figuring out who's legit is the challenge.

If you need a good solo ad provider for the Internet Marketing / Make Money Online market, you should check out Igor Kheifets.

    Solo ads work if you:

    # 1) Get a solo ad vendor who doesn't suck.

    # 2) Understand your end user demographic and cater your funnel to them.

    # 3) Have a funnel that sells immediately, and hopefully introduces yourself and builds rapport.

    # 4) Are willing to sell aggressively. If you ever hear a guru saying not to sell aggressively with solo ads, run away.

    # 5) Are willing to pitch frequently and consistently in your email followups.

    # 6) Are in a VERY mainstream niche. Like "Make Money", "Weight Loss", or "Self Help". (Make money is the best for solo ads, but in my opinion any VERY majorly popular niche can work).

    # 7) Are wise enough and street smart enough not to get ripped off buying solo ads. There are, and I mean THERE ARE lots of people selling fake traffic.

This is especially important with solo ads because of the fact that those leads you get are also being pitched dozens of different offers from the seller.

The last thing you want is to take your time to delicately nurture your list before you sell to them...

Because chances are, someone else is taking your would-be customers' money.

      Excellent point, Sarevok.

Not all, but finding good vendors is tough.
