While it's probably still possible to get leads through Craigslist's free listings, the results will most likely be dismal.

There are far better ways to market than slapping some ad on Craigslist, which may get flagged or removed within an hour anyway.

In any case, you'll still need to have good copywriting if you want even the slightest chance of people checking out your offer through a Craigslist ad.

And no, you cannot direct link to ClickBank offers.

Even building an email list is tricky there for the reasons I outlined above.

    Regards,
    Daniel

Hey Ari, copywriting refers to the use of words to convince your target audience to take an action you want them to.

So in the case of a sales letter, good copywriting achieves the purpose of convincing the reader/viewer to buy the product.

In the case of a Craigslist ad (or any other ad), good copywriting must capture the attention of those browsing the site and entice them to click through to see what you have to offer.

I highly recommend you register for Copyblogger's free training on copywriting:

    Hope this helps,
    Daniel

In my opinion, advertising any digital products, or anything related to IM on Craigslist, is like flushing your business down the toilet.

They don't allow links, and most of the users on there are "flag happy" and will flag any ad that even smells like IM.

Personally, I get better results with Backpage.

What are you planning on promoting?
For CPA offers, this is not allowed, so it all depends on what you plan on selling

Clickbank is huge. Markets and demands are huge!

Maybe something in the job opportunity niche! Create a funnel through email to build a list of prospects then monitize into your offer through response. Use attraction marketing to the best you can with email...

It's funny when I saw this Thread it reminded me when I was young and dumb about 7 years ago in IM.

I bought this Course about making quick money with Craigslist.

Using CPA I would Post Ads everywhere I could find on Craigslist and they signed up with an email Submit.

It made some money but no way to make a long term dent

Craigslist use to work great for getting leads and what not, but has since dwindled down A LOT!! I think a lot of it does have to do with what area you are posting….when we were in San Diego, Craigslist didn't do anything for us except waste some time….after moving to the SF Bay Area and posting there, it was still pretty crappy, but 1000x's better than compared to San Diego.

What you can do if you're set on promoting on Craigslist is to just post around in the different cities and seeing if you get any nibbles. If you get some positive results, scale it up in that area and if not, drop that area. I wouldn't spend a whole log of time on that though….maybe like an hour max!

I hope that helps and good luck!

Craigslist is great for selling physical products. If you have a recliner at home and dont want to sell it on ebay, post on Craigslist. That way you can meet up with the prospective buyer, receive the money, and give them what they paid for. So don't try to advertise Clickbank products on there. There are much better techniques to market your Clickbank products with.

That makes perfect sense as SFBay is the second highest traffic level city on Craigslist with San Diego ranking #9 on that list.

I have used Craig's List for several years. It used to be an option for someone without a lot of cash to spend on advertising. CL has gone the way of high button shoes.....it's totally irrelevant now, in my opinion. A waste of time, really. There are so many other ways of making money. Don't waste your time with CL.

Not worth the effort and this is not a viable long term marketing method. Most of your posts will either be flagged or "ghosted" (meaning that they do not show up on search results), there are other avenues of marketing that will have a better ROI for your time and money.

    Good Luck.

I agree with the copywriting it's really good. I would suggest it for you to use it instead of using and wasting time with Creaiglist
