autoresponder software - Now FREE whats the catch?

Hello Warriors,

I don't have any experience in list building or any autoresponder so I may be wrong.

I know aweber is the best but I dont want to commit for a monthly bill.

Someone suggested me to try parabots.com and the feature looks pretty cool and its free too. I dont know whats the catch here. So I am seeking your inputs here.

Do you have any experience with this autoresponder?

any suggestion?

I use it (parabots) on one of my domains and it works pretty well.

There is a great WSO that has been going on with an Autoresponder, shopping cart, and affiliate bundle that looked good, at a great price and installed free

The downside with using an autoresponder on your own domain is the hassle of keeping your domain from being blacklisted. If you plan on having a high delivery rate you're going to need to consider hiring a full-time employee that does nothing but help keep your domain off the ISPs blacklist.

So, in essence it is going to be cheaper to just pay aWeber.com or another autoresponder service.

If you want to get the full benefit of the list, you're doing yourself a disservice by posting it on your own domain in my opinion. Now, if you are super successful and can pay someone that is just dedicated to keeping your domain off the blacklist... well that's a different story.

But, if you're just starting out you are setting yourself up for failure when comes to e-mail marketing if you host your own autoresponder. That is just my opinion though.

And that opinion comes from experience :-)

    Talk soon,
