So im almost finished creating my product but Im at a loss on what to do next. Im guessing creating a salespage is a logical solution but im not sure how to best tackle that. Should it be a video or a long letter? Is there a fill in the blank kind of template that works good for these?

I could write a novel on your questions.

Sales letter or video? Why not do both?

Have a video sales letter, that pops up a sales letter if your leads don't buy.

As far as promoting your product, there are a ton of things you can do.

Maybe consider promoting it here in the WSO section if you can spare $20.

Or, consider building a really complex email funnel that promotes the heck out of your product, and then try your best to drive traffic to that funnel.

Finally, you might even start contacting as many vendors as you can.

Offer to give your product away for free to their customers. 90% of vendors will ignore you, but if you put in some work you can get your product in the hands of other customers, which is always a worthy pursuit.

(You should ask for their email in exchange for your product, by the way).

    Hustle!

Stay cool, and I wish you the best.

You can now concentrate on marketing but better off going first to the big Mommas - Amazon.com, eBay.com, etc - funnel some visitors/customers/prospects. The worst product in the world sells more with good marketing than the best product in the world with poor marketing.

One great thing you could do would be to create a hit list of big time affiliates and try to work out a promotion deal. If you can get even one super affiliate on your team that could boost your sales by an incredible amount.

Do some searching and you should find all kinds of templates, some good, some not so much.

    Papertemplate is a good one.

That papertemplate seems pretty cool for creating a sales letter. I was planning on using OptimizePress2.0 as I liked the layout and membership aspect since my product is a course with videos.

I use Optimizepress too. I've got the SL structure in my head. For a couple years I used Papertemplate for nearly everything but it just can't compare to OP. You should be able to find some templates that will help out out.

I'm in the same boat; was just checking out Vidsy for the sales page layout. Something I'm struggling with is whether or not to include a sales funnel for more profits. On the one hand, it seems the product should be able to stand on its own, on the other, might be leaving profits on the table. The potential upside with the funnel is of course more sales; the downside is putting the customer through the hassle...

Just don't know But yea, in all of my research, Vidsy seems like the best route for a sales letter. (I'm not affiliated with them at all)

      Best of luck!

You know, some people make the sales page before making the product.

They figure out what bullet points (problems the product is going to solve) and then they go back in and make sure the product solves all those issues.

A very short sales page can be just as effective as a long one.

You can do a video, a short page, and a long page - and test them all. Unless you're able to narrow down what seems most effective for others in the same niche.

You can spend some time down here to get some ideas if you are going to take this on yourself.

Just be aware, writing content for an ebook vs writing copy to get sales is 2 completely different things.

Regardless of what you choose, you should A/B Test your sales page to find out what works best with your traffic. I downloaded a template from The Ultimate List of Free Landing Page Templates From LeadPages

They have high converting templates. You should check it out.

I personally like the long letter route. I'm just a reading "text" guy, but alot of people love watching video sales letters. Just not me. But don't create one because of my opinion. The true answer is that you should create and test both, and roll with the one that is most effective for you. There are some fill in the blank templates. The best one i can recommend is Yanik Silver's "Instant Sales Letter" product.

      Ernie,

What you're asking is basically "How do I do Internet Marketing?" and that is the foundation of what this forum is all about.

I think you would be best served by making a list of the tasks ahead of you (tons of threads on the subject) and then asking specific task questions if you can't find the answers you need.

I think you will get more responses and better answers if you post one specific question at a time in a thread as you move your way through your checklist.

Hopefully, before you created your product, you did your market research to validate "buying" demand for what you have created.

That research will help you to know exactly what prospects want, how you can reach targeted buyers, how you should price your product, what the competition is like, what platform the buyers want, and many other very helpful answers that will guide you as you move along the IM path.

      The very best to you,

      Steve

You should create an excellent salespage (you should outsource this to let it look very professional) then after creating your website you can then promote your product on one of the popular market place like warrior plus, clickbank or JVZoo
