    Hi there

well my best advice for you is to ask what do you want to do

I always tell my clients that the main problem is people don't have a plan.

They are not quite sure what they are selling

If I were to ask you right now, what is your niche, what are you selling and to whom, what would be your answer?

Imagine you wanted to set up a crowd funding campaign to raise money for your business how would you define your business?

Unfortunately - and I hope I'm proven wrong - it's not hard to see why the OP is not succeeding in IM.

11 minutes after posting the two line "need help" thread - he logged out of the forum...and hasn't been back since.

Think focus could be an issue?

    No.

Only you can help yourself. We can only point a few things out that may go on to help you help yourself.

Stop. Extract yourself from yourself. Pause for a while.

The world of IM is awash with schemers and scammers and people who never made anything but who will sell you ebooks and courses on how to get rich. You will sense this to be true. I myself fell for the gurus and courses, many, many times over many years.

Even the IM stuff that does 'work' (perhaps less than 5% of everything IM out there) is only temporary and weak. It may work for a short while then the game changes and blows it away.

Your possible future online is not just a function of the time you spend, part time or full time. Much, much more important is The Business Model you choose to pursue. I can tell you flat out, of the dozens of different business models for online business very few of them actually work in making a decent full-time living. Very, very few.

I was lucky (i'd like to think i was smart, but I was lucky) I found it for me. I now run a substantial online ecommerce business that bring in over 6 figures a month, on average. It's real, long-term, sustainable, ethical and creates a valuable online business asset. It takes time and effort to run it and is the exact opposite of all the get-rich-quick scams that have infested the internet.

So, to be very clear, spend your time investigating the various business models FIRST.

This is WAY more important to understand than the number of hours you clock up working or worrying about anything else. First, the business model needs to be right. Only then is it a function of skill, time and effort spent.

I hope everything works out for you. Don't lose hope but get very real, very quickly.

My genuine best wishes to you.

NB by business models i mean - affiliate, advertiser, merchant, infomediary, subscriptions, broker, ecommerce, etc.

I think that statement is backwards.

Internet Marketing is about gaining the 'skills' and experience in order to make things work.

I don't think it's that only 5% of everything IM out there that works, I think that only about 5% (or less) of the people who pursue IM actually succeed.

PLUS...The game will keep changing (just like everything else in the world) and for the people who can not adapt and change with IM, they become obsolete.

The "5%" is because people base their business around shiny objects...not themselves or a consistent sales process that operates regardless of what medium of communication (direct mail, online, etc.) it happens to be put to work in.

They have short term false enthusiasm for the shiny object for about three days. Then the work sets in and their dopamine has worn off and the reality that they've based their business around nothing sinks in. Then they get panicky. Productivity ends...until the next new shiny object comes along and they grasp onto that as it flies by.

People need to start believing in themselves and real business fundamentals, not shiny objects.

    That's your problem right there.

    You're program-hopping.

Why are you buying a bunch of courses?

All you need is ONE plan of action to start seeing results, so quit chasing after every Shiny Object that appeals to you.

The reason you haven't had any success with any courses you bought is that you've never committed to anything.

There's no way you're going to make any money until you decide what you want to do and start treating it like a serious business.

Figure out what you want to do, and make a commitment to stick to it (and avoid everything else).

It all boils down to that.

    Daniel

I think it is possible to over educate yourself. (If that is what you mean by purchasing a course...I am in the US and am not exactly sure what that is but am assuming here....)

After a while you see a theme with all of the advice and action plans. Believe in yourself and know you chose this business for a reason and that you do know what to do!

Talking to people and sharing your gift is a great way to start.

    Sisagil, two things for you:

    1. Some advice.
    2. A business.

    Let's start with the advice.

You have, as I see it, a task on your hands. The task being?

To give IM one final bash. Life is too short to waste, after all.

Say to yourself, Right, I'm giving this two months, and no more than two months, and if I make money, good, I'll stick at it, but if I don't? It's goodbye IM, here's some dust, eat it!

In my opinion, you need to get up tomorrow morning and put that plan into action. You'll hear people tell you that money cannot be earned, from scratch, within two months.

    Hogwash.

The internet is teeming with quality methods and anyone with heart and common sense and a future in IM and a little startup-capital can earn that little bit of montivational income within those two months. If you have it in you to do it? You'll do it. If not? IM, eat dust.

If you're game to give my advice a bash, here's a business for you.

This is a very simple business, as simple as it pretty much gets, no offense, but you're going to use it as a test. If you make money in two months? You probably have a future in IM.

    1. Come Up With A Subject-Matter.

    - You have an interest in it.
    - A large number of popular forums allow signature links to monetized websites ON that subject.
    - A bunch of the right Facebook groups exist for it (more on this momentarily).
    - You can find PPL (pay per lead) offers about the subject on OfferVault.com

NB: A PPL? A PPL affiliate offer is where you receive affiliate commission by referring people to complete a simple form. Commission rates range from around $1 to as much as $12 or more; it depends on the type of offer, of course. You're going to promote PPLs because it's a great deal easier promoting something free than it is asking a person to whip out their credit card.

Once you have your subject-matter? Here...

    2. A Simple Blog Talking About That Subject Matter.

    - Relevant domain.
    - Virtual hosting.
    - Wordpress.
    - A Premium theme to make it look more professional.
    - Social sharing present to help with social traffic generation.

You're going to write about a dozen posts on the selected subject matter. But you won't be doing so with eyes closed. Open up Google's Keyword Planner and type in the main phrase related to your subject-matter. Filter that result for monthly traffic volume and skip through those results until you start seeing long phrases that sound like people asking questions. These questions? They're giving you insight into your target audience. Look out for questions that you can write articles about and paste them all into a notepad file. What next? Install Yoast SEO and write 10 articles, each one based on a question, and use that question - each time - as your focus keyword. Don't worry about not knowing article writing or SEO. Your objective? To write an article on each subject, and each time, to turn all of the lights on Yoast green. Within each article? Add a link to one to three PPL offers. Install Pretty Link Lite, add your offers, naming them with their offer name, and use those links in your articles. Also be sure to include at least one image per article, using your keyword in the meta.

When you're finished? You'll have a niche blog that you've filled with the right kind of content. And you'll have monetized that content. Next up? Traffic.

    3. Let's Get Some Traffic.

    - Register at those relevant forums.
    - Join relevant groups on Facebook.

Forums. Take part in the forums just like a regular surfer (a non-marketer). When the forum rules allow for it? Add a link and some juicy text to your blog. Never promote your blog. Just take part in those forums. And do it each day.

Groups. Pretty much the same thing here, too. You want to join groups where you notice signs of the same people sharing articles from the same website. This tells you that the group owners and moderators probably have no problem with sharing articles. To be doubly share, however, just contact the owner and politely ask if he or she will mind if you share the odd article from your blog; you won't hammer the group; you believe its members will really like the articles. When you get the thumbs up? You share. But there's a trick to it. Lots, actually, but here's one basic way to go.

    - Only ever share 1 article to 1 group; never to multiple groups.
    - When sharing more than 1 article in a day, space out the times; 2 to 3 hours, to be safe.
    - Use a catchy image that you know your audience will engage.
    - Aim for high-member count groups with signs of positive engagement.
    - Spend more time interacting like a surfer in the group.

NB: Spend more time interacting like a surfer in the group. You mustn't just hit the group with articles. Instead, be a real member. Comment, like, share, upload non-marketing images, you name it. Be real, in other words.

    The Result.

If you cannot, in two months, get at least a handful of people to click on your affiliate links and sign up for free offers? IM is not for you.

But if you can? Not only do I believe you have a future in IM, but you now have the motivation, after having earned some money, to go and claim that future.

In more advanced forms, and in various forms, the suggested Test Business outlined above does exceedingly well for me. It isn't remotely my main interest these days, in 21 years you end up with your finger in quite a few different pies, but I can assure you that you won't be wasting your time, assuming of course you have a future in IM.

    Consider something.

You have a free PPL offer that pays $8 every time someone fills out that form. It doesn't cost the person anything but the 30 seconds it takes to enter a few details, like name and email and interests.

Encouraging someone to fill out that form? Does it sound hard?

    Encouraging more people? Hard?

Veteran marketers, sisagil, often encourage 100, 500, 1000 people or more a day to fill out those forms. All you need to achieve? A handful.

A handful - to decide if you have a future in IM.

Listen, money online can be made in one of the following ways:

    - creating a product and then selling it
    - becoming an affiliate and then promoting other people's products
    - creating a viral content and attracting lots and lots of people to your website
    - buying websites and selling them for profit

What do you want to focus on? Before you decide think how you intend to attract people because that will tell you a lot about what you wanna do.

In order to get traffic you can:

    - use paid advertising (PPC or solo ads) - quick but requires you to spend money
    - SEO - slow and requires work but free
    - create interesting viral stuff and distribute it fast all around the FB and other social networks

    What do you want?

Not every way of making money is suitable for every type of person. I personally like affiliate marketing, most notably Amazon, that's where I make money. Other people are good at creating their own products, some people are good at viral content. Do a research ont each way of making money and just focus on that single way you like doing. If you already have a feeling what you like or don't like, go and work on what you like! Be persistent! That's it!

You've confused technology with the solution.

The technology is not the answer! If it was, everyone here would be rich because we are surrounded by tech in WSOs.

Tech is merely choices, possibilities, puzzle pieces to be plugged into a gap you identify as a potential helper in reaching the next step.

If you believe for example "Whiteboard videos are the next great thing, and they are going to make me tons of sales," then you are misguided.

Whiteboard videos are not a business.

Whiteboard videos are not a business model.

Whiteboard videos are only one piece of the puzzle...education, conversion, qualification maybe. Depends where and how you use them. If you choose to use them at all. You don't have to.

The reason you are overwhelmed is you do not have an understanding of one consistent business model, or approach to making money.

So you jump from thing to thing, because all the things appear of equal value to you.

IM is not a business. It is a medium of communication. Just like direct mail.

In IM, as in any other media, you must do three things: Attract leads; Qualify them; and Convert them.

Do you have a system for doing each of these three things?

I forgot about this...was doing well until a mod moved it to Mind Warriors where no one can see it:

So I wrote them a Ticket and explained that it was a Milestone Post that had several opinions and strategies within that milestone Post that could definitively help people in the Main Forum..

And within two hours they moved it back.

So might be something to consider , just be extra polite when doing it

I did submit a ticket back then. They forwarded it to the mod who made the move, who defended his choice (do I expect otherwise? Human nature is to defend your choices; otherwise, we'd all go insane) and left it there.

      MEGA GRIN, EP!

My Dad was a very successful Aeronautical Engineer who went on to work for top international firms as a troubleshooter. He told me over and over again, "Take care of the business you least want to face first and the rest will be a smooth ride."

      He was 200% right.

You can't just go around and purchase every course you see. You're overwhelming yourself! The best bet is to practice things on your own site first and then develop your own strategy. There's so much content out there - you can't do what everyone else out there is saying!

That's the problem, you keep buying things, try them few days and buy another things.

You need to make a plan from scratch, write your strategy on paper and stick with it no matter what.

Things won't fall from the sky in 2 days, you need to work hard and have consistency.

You should create a blog, pick a niche you like or you're interested to learn and write awesome content. When you have some content, mix them into an ebook with great value and some bonuses to offer for free in exchange for some emails.

Build a good relationship with your list and start promoting things they would like, something related to your niche.

Trust me, you will be making money. Now, this will not happen if you quit in 1 month, making a blog is easy but making traffic isn't easy, to be an authority you need to stick with your plan month after month.

If you want fast money you can pick an offer from an affiliate and buy ads from Google (cheap ones), but having your own list is the way to go, that's your whole business and like every business out there you need to invest a lot of time and effort.

Chances are good that you already have several ways of making money without buying tons of courses. So the best thing is to decide what you like to do the most and work everyday on that alone. Find ways to market what you enjoy doing and work everyday on getting better at it.

    Hello Sisagil,
I think you are suffering from information overload and the fact that you do not take action. A great percentage of people who purchase information products do not apply what is being thought in those courses.

You should try to apply some of the things you have learnt from the information courses you have purchased.

You should start small. Don't expect yourself to do everything or meet up to every demand that the course requires.

Always remember, it doesn't have to be perfect for it to be great, you just need to be ready to take action and correct your mistakes as you move along.

Most of all, add tweaks and use your brain to come up with some thing unique of your own that you can apply to your promotion or marketing strategy that will add a boost and differentiate you from the crowd.

I hope that helps. Good luck!

      Hi Sisagil

Are you on the lists of many internet marketers, and therefore getting lots of new offers into you inbox every day?

I suggest you do a bit of culling, and unsubscribe from a good proportion of those. Stick with just the one(s) you feel an affinity with, and which are providing you with valuable free advice.

Then review what you have actually bought already. You might have some great gems in there. Have you followed all the steps in the training and stuck at it?? Probably not. Because a short time later you've gone and bought something else and tinkered with that.
You probably already have a product which will enable you to achieve results, but you need to take focussed action, and stick at it.

If that is not the case, an alternative would be to find yourself a mentor, or follow one respected marketer, and follow all their training through. Then don't jump ship from them and start with yet another new product. Don't get distracted.

      Regards

When this happens you need to take a break. I suggest you log off the forum, turn off your computer and either stop using your cpu all together or as minimally as possible for 30 days. Do not buy an products, don't look at any of the products on your hard drive. Purge internet marketing from your life for 30 days and go do something else.

The reason why you're doing this is to let your subconscious mind do the heavy lifting. Let your subconscious mind pondering what you'd enjoy doing most online to get paid for. Once you take this break it'll give you clarity, once that clarity leads to you discovering what you really want to do, hop back online and focus on just that. Delete all the courses you have that don't focus on that and submerge yourself in just info on the path you are sure you want to take.

Until you give yourself this mental break you're going to stay in this constant state of desperation falling for every offer that pops in your email box offering instant gratification in the form of 'fast cash'. You're getting in your own way right now. How about you try not doing that for awhile.

Hope this helps man... take it easy.

There are two books that will help you. These books are mindset books - books that will get you to think about affiliate programs you purchased in a whole new light:

Dan Norris's book "7 Day Startup" - this book will help you go from "wantrepreneur" to entrepreneur. A "wantrepreneur" is someone who reads, reads, and reads - who consumes and consumes material and never produces. Just jump on it! Put a "pay now" button on your page. This is a great book. I highly recommend it.

Grant Cardone's 10X Rule. - In this book, Grant describes how MASSIVE action is the only type of action that will produce success.

Once you read these books, STOP reading books (for a while at least) and start producing. Find someone to help and help them. They will trade $$ for your help.

I recommend you to find a proven mentor to learn.

Invest in to his guide lessions and pay attention to follow.

That would be the best way for you because you can shorten the time to conquer this journey.

I already follow that method and after 4 months i got my first sale.

    Good luck man!

How big is your email list, what are you offering, what's your price, and how are you doing your marketing?

There’s an amazing amount of *noise* within the online business niche. Every guru has their own magical formula to success. Unfortunately no one seems to agree on what actually works.
It’s no wonder people feel overwhelmed. You get emails each day recommending another “must-have” product. How do you know what really works and what’s a waste of time?
I’d like to think I’ve built a moderately successful Internet lifestyle. Yet there have been many times when I get frustrated. Sometimes I’ve even thought about giving up.
What’s gotten me through those times is having a strategy – One that reduces those feelings of overwhelm.

You may be overwhelmed by the many courses you have been thru. I use to do the same until a mentor told me to stick to one course. Many people have their own opinions on things (which may work) but it can get confusing trying to learn from different people. I myself like to go thru different courses after finishing and applying one. The more information the better assuming they are quality courses.

    Hopes this helps.

Completely agree with whats already been stated. You need to step back and regain your focus. Write down what it is exactly that you are trying to achieve with your IM business and start setting goals for yourself. I struggled with the same problem starting out. I would buy a product and try it out for a few days and if i didn't get any results I was off to the next shiny WSO that stated my Paypal account would grow overnight. It can be a very humbling experience. There are a couple things that really helped me regain my focus and start building a solid foundation.

The first thing I did was I stopped purchasing new programs. This forced me to invest my time instead of my money.

The second is find a mentor. Initially, this doesn't have to be someone that you converse with. It can be someone else that is successful in the internet marketing arena. Just be careful about purchasing any one on one coaching programs. They can be pricey and it sounds like you have spent plenty of money already. (I'm not saying that all coaching programs are bad, just be careful who's advice you buy). See if that person has a youtube channel and you can watch their playlists. Search for any posts that they might have (outside of the WSO section) on the warrior forum.
Another idea is to sit down with a pen and paper and really think about the products that you have purchased. What did the sales pages look like, how did you come across the product/ how was it marketed? What made you want to buy?

No doubt you are on more than a few people's email marketing lists. Study the emails that they send and use some of them as templates (no copying personal stories obviously). Take all of this info and apply it to your current situation.

You already have experience with internet marketing. You haven't made much but you still have experience. Why not start a blog? Tell your story. What made you get into the world of internet marketing?
What methods have you tried? what has worked for you and what hasn't? You already stated that you have purchased a lot of IM products. Start writing IM product reviews. Start a youtube channel and link it to your blog. Create an opt-in page for an IM product review "newsletter" that ties into your blog and youtube channel. There are tons of successful affiliates that make good money simply reviewing IM products and marketing affiliate links.

Sorry for the lengthy reply. Hope this helps.

    One word -- Focus.

Find a method that resonates with you, and master it. Don't try anything new until you do.

One of the things that keeps people from seeing success, is the fact that they are overwhelmed with too much conflicting information.
