I use wordpress with the optimize press theme and it does wonders for me. You site can be ugly is just needs to not confuze the eyeball. Yea, don't wast your time with fiverr and traffic unless you know the person.

Traffic is the easy part. Once you have a squeeze page it can convert very well on cold traffic which means it will not take very much traffic to see your leads coming in.

Cheapest way is not always the best way.

As you had an experience in trying to create a landing page, you most likely don't have enough experience (yet) to create one that actually 'Converts' into leads and traffic.

It's not so much that your site is ugly.

It's the fact that you don't yet know how to set a webpage up to get it to do what you want it to do.

Leave that stuff to the 'experts'.

Right now I use a 'Pre-made' lead capture page because it was made by people who know how to do that stuff.

Traffic is NOT the easy part.

Start by using the search feature above and search threads explaining ways to get FREE and Paid Traffic.

    Lastly...

    What's wrong with fiverr?

If you have gotten results with it in the past (don't know if you have), why can't you expand on what you 'already' know?

Stroll through the forum and learn. There are no simple and easy answer or simple and easy way to make money online.

As a former SEO and former content writer (in French), I would say the best way to get free traffic is SEO and the best and cheapest way to convert is learning to write efficiently.

And if you do not want to do these things yourself, hire people who will do it for you.

You can start off doing simple free things like Blog commenting and Forum Marketing to get things rolling. They can both be effective

LOL you can disregard ALL of the "advice" you've gotten from these people. Nobody here is getting rich from selling ebooks or "information products", and nobody here is getting rich off of "affiliate marketing". Those are the facts, until proven otherwise. (Like James Randi's Paranormal Challenge)

For you OP, I'm assuming that you're in the continental United States (CONUS). Save yourself precious time and money and forget about internet pipe dreams...or any pipe dreams really. Are you in school? If so, continue to do well.

Translation: It's a myth that you can build a real business on the internet. That only happens offline.

Amazon.com must have missed the memo.

To the OP, it's very much true that 99% (or somewhere close) of what you hear online is garbage.

However, don't let other people who lack the discipline, skillset, or anything else required to build a legitimate business talk you out of building a REAL business.

Yes, there are people making good money from information products and from internet marketing in general.

Anyone who says otherwise is incredibly misguided.

OP, keep at it... it's a long and difficult road to build a business (online or offline) but it's worth it if you're serious enough.

      Wishing you the best,
      Daniel

Your translation is wrong. I did not say that, so do not say that I did. Plus, I speak plainly...so a "translation" isn't necessary.

You just agreed with me. The irony is too much!

No, there isn't. You aren't! And neither are any of the other keyboard warriors here. Believe me, you do not want me to start digging up dirt. I helped reveal quite a few gurus who turned out to be broke fakers. One even pretending to be female.

I know for a fact that you aren't making millions. So who are you to tell others it's "possible" when you have no idea and no experience to back that up?

There's a big difference between a wannabe keyboard warrior trying to fleece unsuspecting noobs, and a legitimate company like Amazon. If you can't see the difference, then you're hopeless.

P.S. You thanked me for showing how Facebook is stealing views from YouTube and other content creators in another post. I gave you a new perspective and showed you an angle that you didn't see before. You'd think I just might know what the heck I'm talking about. Just maybe.

Heh, I never said I was making a lot of money online or even a full-time income yet (I'm not).

I'm saying that your suggestion that no-one on this forum is making good money from affiliate marketing or selling info products is absurd.

I am not a guru or even a full-time marketer... but I am a serious student who actually knows this might take years of effort to be successful with.

And as a serious student who studies successful marketers, I'm pretty sure that there ARE people building real businesses selling information products in multiple niches.

Who am I to tell others it's possible?

Someone who understands that you need to treat an online business as seriously as any offline business.

          Regards,

Thank you for further proving my point. I believe that in time, with more experience, you'll see my side more clearly. I save people from ruining their lives financially. If I help you stop chasing unicorns and spending yourself into debt, then I've done my good deed.

One recommended way to make money online is to write provocative posts, get a following and eventually add a signature that will lead you to the one, true path to economic freedom.

In the meantime, all of us wide-eyed innocents can twiddle our thumbs and pray for rain.

To be successful online requires study, hard work and patience, just to name a few of the qualities that lead to success in any worthwhile endeavor. It also helps to have a few bucks to invest in your business on an ongoing basis

Ask folks like Dean Holland, Frank Kern or Ryan Deiss about this. Just a few of the online gurus that come to mind when talking about persevering and making it work online.

Yes, there's a lot of hype on the internet and people struggle with the latest and greatest bright, shiny object that promises you that you can spend the rest of your days on a Caribbean Island with a laptop in one hand and a pina colada in the other.

Working through the hype is part of the learning curve. 3% success rate? Maybe, but for the people on this board, the odds are in our favor.

You were absolutely right about Facebook stealing views but being right about one thing does not mean you're right about another.

Critics are your friend... I wholeheartedly agree.

However, my issue with your statement on this thread is the implication that you can't build a legitimate business online through affiliate marketing or information product selling in general.

Thanks for your insights but I still find it disingenuous to have such a closed view on what people can or can't achieve through the above mentioned models.

I do actually think you're trying to genuinely help but you're basing your statements off illegitimate and unscrupulous marketing instead of acknowledging that there are people who build real information businesses online.

DRP, I see this will go nowhere so let's just agree to disagree.

And again, thank you for your input and defending your position.

Affiliate marketing isn't all about being the affiliate.
Turn the coin over and discover the product creator who markets via affiliates.

    Bingo. Bango. Bongo.

And, keep in mind, some of the critics you come across in life are indeed the same individuals most hurting, hence the criticism.

    Just sayin'

Ok i read thru the comments here and i saw negative comments about being internet marketer. First of all it can work- i started few years back and i am full time internet marketer for 2 years. It will be best to learn about SEO because it is the cheapest and most efficient way to driving traffic. I'm not a millionaire nor rich but i can live comfortably from it.

Everything you need to know can be found on forums like this and youtube videos, if you try hard enough you will succeed.

Normally the 'cheapest' way is not the best way to proceed.
Normally going the cheap way will end up either costing you more in the long run or just plain failure.

I would start with going back to basics, read up on these forums and read up on ways to drive traffic, what landing pages look like, networks to work with, etc..

Then from there pick a decent traffic source (i'd stay away from fiverr), and a network to work with and start driving traffic to offers.

Make up your mind. Do you want the cheapest way or the best way?

Getting into affiliate marketing is easy and usually free. You find an affiliate program and sign up. Bang, you're into affiliate marketing.

Getting something out of it is something different. And it's where Best and Cheapest part ways.

The fallback answer seems to be "learn SEO", but that target moves quicker than a school of redfish with an osprey casting a shadow. Now you see it, now you don't.

Start with the real job of an affiliate. People are distrustful. Your job is to help people get over that distrust, and send them on to the vendor with an open mind. You do that by building trust and making good recommendations.

So how do you get people to trust you?

Simple (but not necessarily easy). You get people who have audiences that trust them to recommend you. You gain their direct or tacit approval and endorsement through things like blog commenting, guest blogging, finding a way to scratch their back first, generally building relationships with the people who already have relationships with the people you want to reach.

There are many ways to promote affiliate products on the internet. Your budget usually will determine what is the best path to take. If you have money for advertising then pay per click is probably the best option as most banner type advertising is untargeted and does not convert well. There are many pay per click services out there and Google AdWords is the biggest and most popular.

Unfortunately most people simply do not have the budget to go with paid advertising so this is where you need to focus on creating a website and promoting it using free tactics.

Add content regularly to your site as this will help to improve it in the rankings. Also you need to work on building back links ideally one way back links from as many related sites as possible. You can add your site to as many free directories you can find.

Remember that building a quality site does take time and give it at least 6 months to even one or two years of consistent effort before your site begins to rank well for competitive terms.

You can have an autoresponder for free, you can have good places to get traffic for free. So you can start to build a mailing list of subscribers to sell affiliate products.

By the way free is not free => because you invest your precious time (and it's not free)

Hi j13adidas you say you're a novice and I'll tell you I'm not an expert at affiliate marketing but I'm working at it for a while now and I know how you feel.

I started a few years back and I know what it feels like being the one who does not how things work but I have to agree with some friends here when they say many people online will tell you they're the real deal and they'll help you but what they want is take your money and thatis it.

Having said that it's also true that there are many people making really good money online and you'll be able to find great mentors as well.

Now before you get to that part please do not start buying courses just because they look great or because someone if pushing them hard.

I suggest you should start gathering awesome information that's available for free online so you get your feet wet and start learning about this awesome world of affiliate marketing.

Once you get your feet wet with free information you'll have some idea of what and where you can find better (paid) information.

Believe me I wasted a lot fo time and money when I started and it's frustrating.

I suggest you take a look at this post https://yesyoucanmakeitonline.com/ho...ver-the-truth/ it can give you some good tips.

    I hope that helps.

A simple strategy you can use is to check the landing pages of your competitors to get ideas on how to improve your landing page.

You can create a new landing page on your own specially if you're using any CMS like Wordpress.

Stop using fiverr for traffic. It's an exercise in futility. Start using pay per click advertising (Bing Ads and Google Adwords). Hire someone to create a nice simple site for you, and do it immediately. If you want to do affiliate marketing with the domain name you already have (the piano one), find a related product on the affiliate networks, and promote using email marketing. It's a sure bet. Good luck.

The question is - is getting traffic from fiverr working for you? If it is, continue with it.

I suggest if you don't like the squeeze page, create another one and get traffic to both from fiverr and measure responses. You might want to also look at creating a new mailing list and measuring responses from individual funnels and then use the winner.

They call that A-B testing. Overall, I think you are looking for other routes to traffic to save money. Overall, test to find what works. Remember paying for traffic is probably the best thing you can do. At that, also consider advertising. Remember companies advertise, i.e. in your case getting gigs on fiverr, in companies sense, getting television adverts. There is no difference, so if it works, then do the A-B testing and go from there.

Also with what Randall said about getting other programs and promoting them would definitely be essential if you have a list, so work with both and you will be pleased with the results.

Most traffic gigs on Fiverr are crap. Sure, you can spend $5 on 10,000 visitors, but they are almost always untargeted and usually come from sites where people are given an incentive to visit your site.

Look for forums and Facebook groups in your niche, join them, participate in discussions, and establish yourself as an expert. You'll get more targeted visitors, who will actually be interested in what you have to offer.
