Keyword density in an article?

by 3 comments
Hey all. I've been doing the 30 Day Challenge and am told that good density to shoot for is 30% in an article (website whatever) starting with the 1st paragraph. My question is: is there a tool out there that I could use that would run through my article and tell me the density? Though I'm thinking for a 500 word article 30% is 150 words, does that mean the phrase has to appear 150 times?

I believe that 30% is way too high. If you submit to EZA you are only allowed 1 keyword phrase per 100 words or 1% density.

Also a great way to make sure you are in line with the editorial guidelines of EZA is to hit ctrl+F. Just type in your phrase and see how many times it is highlighted in the body of your article.

Are you sure it's 30% density? I'd say it's probably 3% more like. Most people would shoot for anything between 1-6% (I go for between 3-5% myself, or 1-2 times per paragraph). You couldn't possibly include your phrase 150 times in a 500 word article.
